LO kicked the dogs out of the way last night to eat their food. Saw the dogs standing there looking at me like... come on!! Yep pulled herself up to the bowl stand, one hand in each bowl munching on some salmon blue buffalo.

She must have remember there is good stuff there because the night before I left each of the dogs a spoonful of peanut butter in their bowls. I left for work while everyone was napping and I guess LO found the peanut butter before the dogs. Since she had not had it before I am just glad she is not allergic! She was covered from head to toe and was licking it off her hands.

@pinkb: OMG-- the peanut butter covered LO is a hilarious image. Poor dogs!

Lorelei was in the shower with me one day when she was around 6 months. I lay her on a towel (she wasn't super mobile) long enough to run and grab a diaper, and when I came back she had pooped and eaten the poop! I called poison control and they asked if it was her poop. I said yes, and they laughed at me and said she would be fine.

Here's one that just makes ME look stupid. The other day I finally took the stock photos out of the photo slots on our diaper bag. I bought the bag used from a stranger (ebay). Behind the stock photos there was a card that had the name Lorelei (it was from a doctor's visit) and had stats and DOB. For about five minutes I was swooning over what a small world it was that the woman I bought the bag from had a Lorelei with the same birthday and same stats. Uh... I bet you can put together the rest. Yeah. *Hangs head in shame*

Xander was just learning to crawl (a.k.a., he could push himself backwards) and I wasn't paying attention. He cries out and I look up and the poor thing has pushed himself backwards under the couch and is stuck!

@mrs. wagon: the first year we were married, I went and voted early in the day. my husband went later and apparently said upon seeing the registration log, "hey, look, there's another <last name> in this building!!". yes, honey, we sleep in the same bed

my parenting saga for the week has been getting to the "is it poop or chocolate" phase. buying that advent calendar with chocolate maybe not the best idea??? it's a bit tricky because sometimes she wants me to wipe her hands because they are "sticky" and sometimes because they are "stinky" and from a 22-month-old those sound pretty similar . . . someone tell me sticking the hand down the pants is just a phase?? I should be happy that at least she doesn't like her hands dirty and will come tell me when they get that way (i.e. before she rubs poop on the couch)

LO loves to give the cat treats. I knew LO had the bag of treats one day and I turned around for a few seconds, turned back and LO is double-fisting cat treats into her mouth! Haha, oops. Luckily she has outgrown the “eat everything” phase and just feeds the treats to the cat.

On our first cross-country flight I realized midflight that I forgot to pack any extra clothes for LO in the carry-on. When I went to the bathroom to change LO’s diaper, I thought to myself “I hope she doesn’t pee”, which of course LO sensed and then pee’d ALL OVER her outfit in the .3 seconds between diapers. So I had to remove her clothes (1 piece PJ’s) and walk back up the aisle with a naked baby in a diaper and hold a naked baby for 3+ hours. LO was smiling and waving at everyone and I wanted to crawl in a hole and hide.
