Start with a good cut of meat, and good quality meat. That makes a huge difference in flavor!
We just rub with a little olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Let the meat shine through.
Grill a couple minutes on each side on a gas grill (we do about 4 and 4 for a decent sized rib eye or about 3 and 3 for milet mignon and we like our steak RARE).
Inside, heat up your broiler and a cast iron (or other oven safe skillet) on the stove. You want it to sizzle when the steak hits the hot pan! We broil for about the same times as above - great crispy exterior, juicy, tender rare interior.
