we currently live in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. we're looking for a house to buy in the area, and i go back and forth on whether a master bath is a necessity or if i can compromise and share a bathroom with LO. around here there are a lot of homes that have 3 bedrooms on the upper floor sharing 1 bathroom.
i wanted to hear from folks if they do/don't share, and if they do share, do you hate it, is it okay, or do you love it?

I share with our toddler currently. It's fine. I have her step-stool and her stuff in there, it's not a big deal. My husband and I can't share so we had to compromise and I took on the toddler so he could have his own bathroom.

we have one full bath and one half. so yes..we share. lol.
I also grew up with one bathroom, period, so I cant even fathom having separate bathrooms! it works

We share and it's fine. I wouldn't want my kid in the bathroom by himself at this age.

I need my space so I don't think I could share. I want to be able to take a bath without cleanign out toys. Although we only have one bath now..so I'm cleaning out toys befor soaking

We have a full and a 1/2. The 1/2 is in the basement so no one really uses it. We share!

I grew up in a house that only had 1 bathroom. It was fine when I was little, but it royally sucked when I got older (I had one brother so it was 4 of us sharing 1 bathroom). Having at least 2 full bathrooms was an absolute must for us when we bought our house.

I nannied for a family who really only used one bathroom. It honestly worked out just fine. The bathroom isn't huge but it isn't a big deal for mom to be doing makeup while the kids brush their teeth for example. The kids don't shower in the morning so it is just mom and dad showering and you can always set up a face washing/tooth brushing station in the powder room downstairs, which may prove more convenient anyway.

We have two full baths and the bath upstairs is not a master bath. We plan on exiling children to the full bath downstairs!

I grew up in a hour with only 1 bathroom and there was 4 of us. It was fine, although was a little rough when my brother and I hit teenage years!

We have 2 full baths in the new house (and our current). I'm the only female in a house with 3 males, so having my own bathroom space was on my list of "musts".

We only have one bathroom, so we share. It's not a big deal now, but I really want to add on a master bathroom to our house at some point. If we were to buy a house now, a master bathroom would be a must have for me.

We only have one bathroom and we share, I don't see the problem with sharing since I grew up in a house that only had one bathroom.

We don't have a master bath. On our main level, there are three bedrooms and one full bath. There's another bedroom (used as an office) and 3/4 bath in the basement, but we rarely use it right now. This is similar to the layout in my parents' house so I grew up sharing and it really doesn't faze me.

We have 2 bathrooms but our toddler uses our master-bath more. We have a 12 year old boy, and he is starting to spend a lot of time in the bathroom, it would be next to impossible to share with him! We really need 3 bathrooms, especially when my step-daughters are here because they spend a lot of time in there too.

We actually have two full baths but we still share our bathroom with DS. It's just easier for us to keep everything in one bathroom.

We share with our boys. I really don't mind at all. I shared with my parents when I was growing up.
