yup heard this little gem about myself at the bank today. a lady looked at me and then whispered to the bank teller that I was to young to be a mom....um im 26!!! me and P were just standing there minding our own business. I was shocked! I look really young but still even if I was a young mom, what right is she to judge. grrr. and if I heard her, I know that everyone else in line heard her to. I was going to comment to her that I heard her and that she shouldn't judge anyone but she left by the time I was done.

yuck. How does this person know how old you are? or that the baby is yours? I've had similar comments made when I am out with my step-child and its always tempting to reply back that I'm not her mother but I never bother. People who make comments like that wouldn't care anyway. Rude!!

That's annoying. I had someone tell me I looked like a nanny not a mom (??) at the play gym the other day.

People have made comments about me being a "young mom" and um, I'm 33, clock was a-tickin'! I take it as a compliment.

My poor DH has the opposite reaction - someone asked if DD (2.5) was his grandchild! oops!!

I've gotten this type of comment from people who actually KNOW how old I am (I'm 28). It's so annoying; even if someone thinks you're too young, they ought to mind their own business anyway. Not for them to decide!

Today I was at bed bath and beyond checking out and the cashier asked me if DS was my son and I said yep. She asked how old I was and I told her 25 (I wanted to tell her none of her business!). She said I barely look 20.

People are so rude! DH has a little sister 15 years younger, and when we would take her out when we were in highschool/college we often got stares and comments. I hate how you always think of the perfect comeback too late...
