Throwing around some ideas for my daughter's 4th birthday party in February and she thought a Shopkins party would be fun.
I'm thinking at age 3.5 - 4.5, the kids will be old enough to play a couple simple structured games? Tentatively, the party would start around 3pm and last for maybe 1.5 - 2 hours. Possible schedule:
3-3:30 - eat
3:30 - 3:45 - structured game 1 (maybe Bingo?)
3:45-4 - transition time
4 - 4:15 - structured game 2 (maybe a Punch Board? I like that idea more than a piƱata)
4:15 - 430 - birthday song, cake cutting
What do you think? Since it's in the middle of the winter, we're gonna be indoors (I'm thinking of renting a room at the local community center so I don't have to entertain 15 kids at my house!). I wish I could do it outdoors so we could set up activity stations like bubbles.
Any other ideas / suggestions? Kids will be around 3.5 - 4.5 years old, mix of both boys and girls from preschool.
I think kids that age could handle structured games. I think the two games you have planned are good. One is more structured so they have to pay attention and the other is more free and fun. They're going to have so much fun!
