What do you wear under your dresses? I've never wear any kinds of shorts or briefs. I feel like I should... any suggestions?
thanks!

I used to wear my volleyball spandex under my dresses, but I no longer own a pair of spandex that my big butt can fit in... So as long as I've got underwear on, we're doing good.

I always wear some sort of spanx or shape wear. Dealing with some chub rub here so that's the only way to stay comfortable.

I put shorts on my little but that's because she's 2 and rolls onto the floor randomly
I just wear panties

@MamaBear87: I wore my spandex for the same reason you put them on your daughter I didn't know how to not jack around, so wearing a dress on game day wasn't a good thing.

I wear shapewear because I have chub rub going on and can’t stand the feeling of my thighs rubbing together. Plus it kind of holds everything in and I don’t feel so jiggly.

I only wear panties but lately I am sitting down with my kids (2 and 5) and when I am wearing a dress, well, I need to be more careful... so I thought people wear shorts, shapewear...
I like wearing my tennis skirt with integrated shorts!

@bakingdoodle: I bought a bunch of skorts on sale from Athleta after DD was born and have pretty much lived in them since!

@Sams Mom: this is excellent! I tend to avoid dresses while wine tasting or bar hopping for this reason

I don’t wear dresses when I know I’ll be sitting on the floor with the kids. But I’ve been thinking about getting some skorts like @Dahlia: suggested.

I wear these under anything above the knee:
Basic Solid Biker Short Spandex Yoga Leggings (12 inch, Black), Free Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UKDZZCK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PlJrBbV9H8YH9
For my job I do a lot of bending, lifting, and climbing into equipment. Not to mention chasing my toddler around. I just feel more comfortable with shorts on underneath.

I always wear shorts under dresses (unless formal), I never know what I'm likely to end up doing! I have a couple of pairs of something very similar to these (mine were hanes and are now discontinued ) They're not really shapewear, and look like shorts so they're comfortable and it is fine if they're seen. I love mine!

@bakingdoodle: I wear spanx type shorts if the dress is short. This way a rogue wind wont expose my business. Also my toddler loves lifting my dress up randomly

Jockey under-shorts, because chubrub sucks and I love dresses. And my 5 year old always has shorts under dresses.

I don't wear shorts for modestly purposes, but if it's a really hot day I'll wear a pair of dh's boxer briefs or shapewear under my dress to avoid chaffing

Either nice stockings, or nothing. Most of my dresses are on the longer side, so it works.
I do have to be careful to never ever wear a strapless dress. DD loves to hang off the hem of my dress, and it's caused a few wardrobe malfunctions. She also thinks nothing of peeking down my neckline in public to check if I've got her favorite "fuzzy bra" on

I wear slipshorts. I get chub rub and spend my day getting on and off the floor and so wear them to avoid embarrassing moments.

I live in a tropical climate and wear dresses just about every day. I only wear panties. I found these awesome seamless ones at Uniqlo and they stay put and are super smooth clingier dresses.

I bike to work. I wear Jockey Skimmies Slipshorts nonstop all summer. Prevents chafing, keeps my seat from hurting me, modest in case my skirt flies up.

My 20 something year old self never wore shape wear under a dress or skirt, but my 40 something year old self does.
A casual wardrobe staple of mine is the skorts from Altheta. They work better for me than shorts and they have an integrated pair of bike shorts that works perfectly when I decide to run after my son and climb up on the monkey bars with him. I have them in at least 5 colors and I just ordered another one this week!

My mother was always after me to wear a slip. Now I have shorts in slip material and it is lovely
