Sooooo I left my birth control pills at home. We are out of town. Took my pill yesterday before we left. DTD last night. Could not find my pills this am. I was able to finally figure out to get more pills at a nearby pharmacy tomorrow afternoon. So 2 days without pills. Should I take 2? Is there the smallest chance I could get pregnant? I'm freaking out a little.

I should say. It would not be the end of the world but 2 under 2 was not what I was thinking for family plans.

@youboots: where are you in your cycle? I think you're probably fine, especially if you follow the directions on what to do when you miss a pill.

I would think it's ok if you follow the instructions but remember you probably aren't covered for the rest of the month.

You could get pregnant. Hopefully not! Definitely use a back up method for the next week.

@youboots: yikes! If you're on day 10, it's definitely a possibility. If you are reallllly not wanting another baby right now, I'd consider taking Plan B. I don't know where you are, but in Canada it's not available without a Rx. Good luck!!

I would follow the insert directions to be safe. Personally, I semi-regularly would miss 2 pills and I never got pregnant (and I get pregnant easily). I always double or tripled up once I got back. I wouldn't say that is the safest though, following the directions is.

I agree with @Truth Bombs - I'd take Plan B. This is exactly what it is for, so that you can remain in control about your reproductive timeline.

I wouldn't worry. Read the packet and see if you need to double up on the pills for a couple days. Sometimes it suggests you just start your new pack right away.
I had missed two pills now and then with no issues. I once missed three pills and AF came shortly after.
Follow the directions on the package and use a backup method until next cycle. I think you'll be fine though!

I'm sure it's a possibility but I'd guess it isn't that probable. If you really don't want to be pregnant right now, Plan B would be a good idea just in case.

I agree with previous posters, plan b would be a good option if you're absolutely not ready for another baby. I took plan b once, years ago, when my now husband and I were still dating, had a birth control failure, and were not ready for a baby. It was no big deal and I'm glad I took it just in case.

We talked about it in depth and are going to skip plan B. Which is scary since I had egg white cm this am. If this is ment to be our second then it feels fated. Originally we were going to do a 2 year gap but I had a rough pregnancy and delivery. Eek

I wouldn't worry too much, just follow the recommendations of the pharmacist/packet insert and be careful the rest of the month. The pill prevents ovulation, so I think it would be unlikely that you ovulated immediately just because you missed a pill. (I'm not a pharmacist though!) Good luck!

The one time I took two pills, I ended up being nauseous all day and throwing up.
