LO is 5 months old and is just learning to sit unassisted. He can sit for a few minutes, but often falls over or back. Since we've transitioned him to a convertible car seat (he outgrew his infant seat), we've just been holding him in our laps at restaurants. But he's getting really grabby and it's becoming increasingly difficult to eat while holding him!
I'm considering getting one of those fluffy Infantino covers that works with shopping carts and high chairs, to help him sit up a little better because he's not steady enough to sit in the cart/high chair without some extra support. But I've been reading in the archives and lots of people have made the (very good!) point that germ exposure is good for LO's immune system, which I agree with.
Sooo... should I get the cover? Or should I just tough it out with holding him during meals until he can sit better on his own?
