LO is a few days away from being 4 months old. Thus far, we've been feeding and napping on demand. Now I'm ready to have a bit more structure in our days... especially since she's gotten in the habit of only nursing to sleep. My dilemma is that starting next week we're going to have about a month where we'll have visitors/be out of town. Is it silly to try to implement a schedule now knowing that it will be very very hard to keep it up over the next month?

I am doing the 90 minute sleep solution with my almost four month old and it has worked wonders.
I say you try and implement a schedule now and then just play it by ear when the visitors come. Do your best to stick with it, and then when things calm down you do a little refresher.

I would suggest trying out the training, but taking a more relaxed approach as needed. If nothing else, at least you are laying the groundwork for later.

@Mrsdaredevil: Do you put your LO down after 90 minutes or 180 at this point? I feel like sometimes my LO can go longer than 90, but not quite 180.
I bought the book today and am almost halfway finished. We're definitely starting this tomorrow! It's a more gentle approach that makes sense to me.

@c.sassy: I shoot for 90 and it works out 75 percent of the time. Her naps are extremely short though. It kind of stinks,, but she is happy. I am trying not to stress about it.

@Mrsdaredevil: Good to know. I have no clue how long other 4 month olds are awake between naps. We'll shoot for 90. If nothing else, hopefully she can just get caught up on some precious sleep!
