My office at work is so BLAH. It's messy and dark and unfinished. I want to make it cute and happy since I spend most of my awake hours here.

@MrsTiz: Can you get a floor lamp, maybe for either side of the desk? I think that would provide a lot of light without cluttering your desk.

I want to find a better way to display some photos. Maybe over the top of my monitor.
As you can see, there is a huge window behind me which is nice for natural light, but causes really bad glare

@T.H.O.U.: That's what I want to do too, I want to get some pictures in here.. Maybe in a banner on your board above your monitor?

@MrsTiz: You could also look at getting a cart or table to put next to your desk for some extra storage. Maybe set your phone on top of that? I love that what I "look at" is just my computer (95% of my work) but I have to my side (and out of sight) papers and my phone and stuff like that.

@cmomma17: Why don't you put your computer/monitor in front of that striped wall? I can't stand having my monitor under those cubical cabinets.

@T.H.O.U.: I never thought of that! This is just how it was set up when I got here.
Although, it's more of a privacy issue. I try to keep my screen turned so people entering my cubicle can't see what I'm working on. We deal with a lot of confidential issues (and nosy students without boundaries) and I'm in an open cubicle at the very front of the office (high traffic).
I will definitely think about it though! -
@cmomma17: What about having it in the corner of the wall and the other cube wall? Kinda like where my black windows computer is in my picture?

Mine's in our living room. I am aiming to create a much cuter workspace but we're (hopefully!) moving soon so I'm waiting. Please ignore the pile of papers waiting to be shred.
