I'd love to see your LO's first real pair of shoes. Soft ones count, just as long as it has a rubber sole.

Her first shoes were Target brand that I found at a consignment store for less then $5. We used them for prewalking. When she started walking more we switched to these Toms.

She hasn't worn them yet, but DH bought BabyGloss a pair of Pumas . . . so she can chill with her Daddy.

He wore a pair of classic Toms and these (http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=83329&vid=1&pid=857908002) from Old Navy around 6 months. Then the weather got colder and he wore a pair of Robeez boots all winter.

I didn't buy him shoes until he started daycare at 11 months. I got him the Stride Rite SRT Soft Motion shoes because the sales person said that these shoes were good for learning how to walk. The soles are rubber but very flexible.

C wears Robeez as pre-walkers/crawlers. She has 2 pairs, but this was the first one. She also wear pink, soft-soled Converse.
