I've seen a few similar threads, however I need a little more input because there are 5 awesome ladies planning my shower next month. The past threads I read said $50+ per gift, however we just can't swing that right now for 5 gifts. Maybe $25 each? I found cute fall-themed bath bombs and soaps on etsy, would that be cheesy if I wrap them up nice with a personalized card?

My MIL hosted my bridal shower and I gave her a edible arrangments. She and my SIL are hosting my baby shower and I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
I think the soaps sound lovely!

I think soap is great, I don't think you need to spend that much. I did chocolates and Fall themed soap from Bath and Body Works, maybe $10 each with a hand written card, but they all loved them! It's the thought in my opinion that counts!

I think those sound super cute! It's not the money as much as the the thought and effort you put into it and it sounds like you're doing a lot of both.

@maisymay: I love edible arrangements but they can get pricey, especially with shipping and for 5 people! I might do that for the "main" hostess though in addition to whatever else I do for everyone.
@jessiej017: thank you, that makes me feel better! I definitely am trying to put some thought into it. I like the idea of including chocolates too.

I definitely don't think $50 per person is necessary when 5 people are sharing the duties! I gave my shower hostess a $40 gift from Williams Sonoma and she did it all alone!

I had 9 hostesses for my bridal shower in DH's hometown and I didn't even know everyone that well! I got each of them a nice candle and a handwritten card.

@oahujeni: I totally agree with you about them getting pricey. Could you make handmade chocolate covered strawberries or something like that if you wanted an edible thing? They are pretty easy to do and look nice.

You are all making me feel so much better, thank you! I worry about not looking "grateful" enough if that makes any sense. It's all in my head, though, because my friends would never make me feel that way. @maisymay: yes I can definitely make those, that would look very nice and would be super yummy too!
