Did anyone have any side effects when they stopped birth control?
I've heard it could cause acne to come back or boobs to shrink, or even loose weight. Any experience out there?
I stopped taking it about a week ago for the first time in about 10 years! So far, no real changes but getting weird cramps at a time when I shouldn't be ovulating or getting AF.

I lost hair for a few months, also lost weight! That made the drain cleaning a little easier to deal with.

My cramps are worse than they ever were on the pill. My face has broken out more often but I've always struggled with acne, even on the pill. My sex drive definitely went up! So there are good things too! Congrats on going off the pill!

I didn't notice anything except I broke out more. I also spotted before my period started when I never did on BCP.

I had very ordinary cycles coming of BCP. 28-31 days.
However, my last three cycles have been long. 41 days, 51 days and I am currently on CD42.
Otherwise, no other issues. The length and flow of my period seems to same, and I don't have any worse PMS symptoms.

I felt much better overall and my sex drive went way up, which was nice!
My periods were heavier and cramps worse than on the pill, but nothing compared to how bad they had been before I started the pill. I did *not* lose weight, much to my disappointment. My skin got oilier-- not totally oily, but I used to have pretty dry skin and now I don't. The worst was I got really bad hormonal headaches-- I've always gotten bad headaches, but I had a couple of real doozies as my hormones got back on track (they kicked up again when I got pregnant, too). And I spotted pretty heavily before my period, which was just annoying.
My list of negatives is a lot longer, but it's hard to explain how much better I felt. I don't plan to ever go back on the pill, even after we are done with babies. Not sure what we will do but I feel better off.

I had horrible headaches for the first couple of weeks and I lost about 5 pounds.

broke out a lot, increased sex drive, long and irregular cycles. but that's not necessarily the norm for everyone!
oh and i still got my BFP with a crazy long cycle because i was charting. my little lady is almost 4 months now.

Most people gain weight from going ON the pill, but I gained weight immediately after I stopped taking the pill...Like a good 5-8lbs without even trying!

@CottonCandy: ME TOO. ugh. I actually lost weight on the pill, but gained 10 pounds in like a month and a half after going off.
Other than the weight gain, I didn't have any side effects. I have break outs on BC & off of BC... boooo!

My cramps were horrible going off BC. My moods improved dramatically off of it. I'm hoping the same thing as I discontinue the mini pill soon.
