I keep seeing side-snap onesies and shirts as being must-haves for newborns. Yet I can't seem to find them anywhere! There are a few on Amazon, but did anybody get these and love them? And where did you find them?

babies r us has some by gerber or carter. My MIL swears by them from when hubs and his sister were little. She said that it was much easier to put on since you didn't have to pull anything over the babie's head. We registered for some, like a 5 pack I think.

I got them from a friend used - but I have heard the hospital will have them (if you sneak a few), and I've seen them at BRU.

We used baby soy ones though theyre pricey. Another brand called under the nile or something also sells them. I also had a hard time finding this must have item!

My mom said the same thing, she got me some shirts at babies r us. I agree, they were very easy to use and nice to have for around the house.

LO lived in the NB Carter's short sleeve ones (summer baby) and now she's wearing the 0-3 long sleeve ones since the weather's been colder lately.

Oh sorry, I just realized you asked about the onesies and not the shirts! I'm barely starting to use onesies now (we have just a couple pieces in various brands) but in the beginning just the shirts made the diaper changes really easy.

my MIL bought some from Japan but could not for the life of me find them here in the states! the ones she got tied to the side. so much easier changing LO.

I never used them and honestly, snaps are so annoying! I didn't mind stretching out the onesie tops a bit to get them over her head. We were pulling things over her head since day 1. The hospital provided long sleeve onesies, not side snap.

My hospital had side-snap t-shirts that we were free to take with us but they were only sized 6-9m which were HUGE on my 8# baby.

I got gifted some side snap onesies from H & M. The 2-4 month size worked for us around 4 weeks I think.

I loved them for the first few months. Once it was easier to get the regular onesies over our LO's head we switched to those because of less snaps to deal with. There are some cute organic side snap onesies at http://www.babyrax.com/organic-bodysuits/.

We got ours from the hospital. They were awesome to have though. Ours had built in mittens so DS couldn't scratch himself.

Old Navy had a few that I've found occasionally.
Our hospital sent us home with about 4 of them, so we never really needed to buy any early on. Don't know if that is normal or not though.

I've gotten a few from COTTON ON KIDS especially because people keep saying they are so good for NB's especially. I've found shirts, onesies, and rompers/sleepers there.
I don't think there are a lot of CO Kids stores around, but here are a couple of sleeper/rompers with the side snaps. P.S. The material is SO soft!

I also found a couple of side-snap shirts w/pants from Carters.

I used shirt side snaps until LOs belly button fell off to prevent pulling on it

I've ordered the long sleeve shirts from Amazon. Found a 4 pack of the short sleeve ones at Target. Kate Quinn has "nicer" long sleeve side-snap onesies.
