We are pregnant with our first baby (due October) and hope to have a second within the next two years or so. Any suggestions on strollers that can be converted from 1-2 seats? Thanks!

Britax Bready, Baby Jogger City Select, and the Uppa Baby Vista all convert to tandem style strollers! Oh, and Phil and Teds have a couple that convert as well!

We love our b ready as a single. We haven't used it as a double yet.

We are going with the Uppababy Vista...it will be a great feature to have it convert to a double. However - the rumble seat isn't ideal and if we were planning on using it as a double often we probably would have gone with the B-Ready/Baby Jogger City Select as they have a lot more double configurations.
I'm predicting that LO #1 will be 3+ when baby #2 comes and won't want to be physically in the stroller all that much so a quick break in the rumble seat will probably be all he/she needs.

@char54: Pretty much exactly what she said. We got the UB Vista in part because I know it converts to two, but I don't think we will be using it as a double a ton-- I wouldn't get it with that in mind if I was planning on having them only be a year apart.
I like that we have the option for the rumble seat or the ride on board though-- DH is particularly into the ride on board and wishes he had that when his brother was a baby

another uppababy vista mom over here! And we have the piggyback thing on it for toddlers to 'ride along' essentially. So it's like a stroller that an older child can hitch a ride on

@T.H.O.U.: I love my B-Ready too . . . I haven't used it for a double, but I went with this stroller because if we decide to have a second, they would need to be fairly close in age and we would likely need a second seat with more options than the UBV. But I also love the UBV, too, as a single!

We got the B-Ready, too, for this specific reason (converts to double with multiple configurations). Haven't tried out the second seat yet, but I've heard good reviews. My cousin got the Bugaboo Donkey with plans to use it as a double eventually, and it looks pretty cool if you want a side-by-side.
