Ok, I know this is like my 1000th post on sleep...

I cannot figure out DD's sleep cues! I always put her to sleep by 1hr30min of awake time, but I feel like sometimes it's too late. I was reading Weissbluth's HSH,HC and I feel like I let her get overtired and she's not getting enough sleep! She is 14 weeks. Last night she didn't go to sleep until 9 because she had wonky nap from 1120-250. An hour of that was her stirring and crying but not waking up. It totally messed up her other naps and she was completely over tired at bed time and woke every 3 hours last night which he says is her being over tired.

I feel like if she took an ok morning nap, that would set things up for the rest of the day. But she almost never does. I'm just driving myself crazy analyzing this! Dr W's book is so confusing and hard to understand what I should be doing. I get some of the concepts of no more than 2 hours awake and stuff like that, but I don't know how to fix my problem. I feel like if I could read her sleep cues better, i'd put her to bed before she's over tired and it would let her sleep longer than 45 min.

I never knew I'd be so paranoid and crazy over this kids sleep! Man, parenting is so much harder then I'd thought it would be.
