@snowjewelz: Have you tried throwing them in the dryer? That usually works for me. We have Serta firm pillows

@Mrsbells: No! They're pretty old and cheap but I will try to see if that helps a little bit!

My husband and I both have memory foam type pillows. Mine is from a mattress store and has a cooling gel side and his is from Costco. No complaints. It did improve my sleep initially and we are fairly picky about pillows. I like firm and not too thick. Attached is mine. Only difference really was that mine was more expensive. It was a Christmas present.

I would go to a mattress store - they’ll have a bunch of different ones you can test out and they’ll make recommendations based on how you sleep.

We're in the market for new pillows soon and I recently saw this on NY Mag. Maybe it will help you too! It's got recommendatitons based on your preferred sleep position, materials, etc. http://nymag.com/strategist/article/best-pillows.html

I have a Temper Pedic pillow, I think the model is Symphony. It is amazing. It took a few nights getting used to it because it is very firm and heavy compared to anything I’ve ever had before, but I’ve probably had it 2 years at this point and I will never go back. I’m actually traveling this week and took my pillow in my suitcase. It was an excellent idea.

@crazydoglady: I’ve had this for 3 months. It’s flat now (flat to me is anything less than what it was advertised for, which was something like super firm and full). I was so hopeful!

I have also had a tempur pedic neck pillow for over 20 years now and I will never voluntarily go back to normal pillows again. I hate it if I have to travel and don't have enough room for my pillow. So I usually do what @lamariniere: did and bring it along.

@Becky: I am supppper skeptical of any "never flat" claims too! Hope it wasn't expensive!

@lindseykaye: So. Many. Choices lol! But at least this narrows down the choices a bit. Thanks!
@Pumuckl: @lamariniere: That says something when you're unwilling to travel without it! I've always been curious but was worried to spend the $ and end up not being "the" pillow.

@snowjewelz: I was really nervous about spending the money since I used to just buy nice pillows, but at TJ Maxx prices. It was totally, totally worth it. I read a ton of reviews and honed in that way. Maybe try visiting a speciality shop so you can talk to a sales person and at least handle the pillows a bit?
