I know I posted about the snuggabunny swing straps before, but I've taken out the infant insert and I still don't get it?
Took some pictures of the strap and Kaitlyn in the swing. The straps are all extended as far as they will possibly go. Do your snuggle bunny swings look like this too? If I actually buckle the strap around her waist it is so tight. Am I missing something?

@LaineysMom: I already scooted her up high its almost buckling over her thighs. I wonder if I just got defective straps and should write Fisher Price? She's pretty small for her age too...

hmm! I still have it set up in the nursery (we use it for the music at night if needed) but I'll see how Lo fits in it when she wakes up.

I think there is a way to adjust the straps underneath the cover. I am not sure, but my DH put our Snugabunny swing together this weekend and I remember before he put the cover on he said something like, "ok, we have to decide whether we think we're going to have a big baby or small" because there were 2 different positions for the straps.

@shopaholic: I'd call.. They know their products best and can send you a new cover if yours is defective. Where did you buy yours? We exchanged our mamaroo at BBB bc it was defective.

@lawbee11: @shopaholic: there are definitely two height positions but i don't think there are two waist (width?? lol) positions, at least from what I remember. I could be wrong!

@shopaholic: DH had ours set up like that at first. I was "like this stupid effing swing is too small for our six week old!?!?"
Googled and found it was set up wrong.

I was curious about this because we have similar swing (my little lamb platinum) and the instructions show two different slots for the shoulder straps based on whether you have a smaller baby or a bigger baby. Not sure if that'll help with the waist issue though.

Hmmm are you sure it's installed correctly? I know our cover never looked bunched up like that like in the pic in the bottom left corner. can you look underneath and see that the straps are pulled all the way through? Otherwise, call FP and see what they say.

Wait, have there always been shoulder straps on it?!?! Ours doesn't have them or if there are, my DH didn't install it correctly.

I found a thread on this through google...
"Proof again that I shouldn't trust my husband to "double check" things. LOL! I had him double check to make sure he put it together right, and he said he did. WRONG! He had the waist strap set into the first chest strap slot and the chest strap set into the 2nd chest strap spot. There is PLENTY of room to grow now. Yay!

There are def shoulder straps -- it has a five point harness. Maybe you've got the wrong strap installed through the wrong slot?

I'm pretty sure they adjust, I remember thinking the same thing at one point, but DD was in hers for like 6 months and it grew with her

@shopaholic: Agree with PP that maybe the waist straps are going through the wrong slot? The top two slots are for the shoulder straps and the bottom slot is for the waist straps. I pulled up the manual....here's a screenshot. If that isn't the problem then I'd definitely call FP.

@kiddosc: @lawbee11: thanks! I have checked underneath, took out the cushion. The waist strap are in the lowest slots basically the bottom. The straps are pulled out as long as possible. I'm going to contact FO because maybe my straps are just too short? They only look about 7-8" long.

@lawbee11: @kiddosc: @MrsCB: IDK what the heck is wrong with the instructions, since it all seems conflicting, and DH said the straps were already put in when we got the swing. But I moved the waist straps to the middle slots and it fits now! Hallelujah! I mean there are only a couple of inches now between the waist and shoulder straps, but I don't care. We're not using the shoulder straps (at least yet!)

Glad you got it!! I was gonna say that my 9 month old can still be buckled in and she's pretty big!
