My lo is 12.5 weeks and a hefty 13ish pounds. I swore up and down that i wouldnt buy a swing for her, but we went to a friend's house today and she had the fp snugabunny swing there. We put my lo in it and it was love at first sight. She napped like a champ while we enjoyed a nice long lunch. My question is, is it worth the investment at this point? How long did your lo's use this swing?

I posted a thread on this a while back, I didn't know if just getting the Snugabunny chair was enough, of if I needed the swing too. The overwhelming majority was to get the swing. I purchased it on Amazon for $119, and so it's at least quite a bit less than the retail at BBB or BRU. I also saw a ton of used ones on Craigslist, but was too lazy to pursue anything....

The swing is amazing. LO is only 6.5 weeks old and I feel like I have already gotten value for my money.

I know, i went to target today and it was almost $50 more expensive than on amazon! We have amazon prime, so naptine bliss could be only 2 days away but i dont know if i want to pay $100+ for something if we're not going to be able to use it much longer...

I'd say look for it on CL...we have the same swing and honestly, I see it retiring by the time DD is 3-4 months. With DS, we also discovered the magic of the swing later on (when he was 3 months) so we bought one and returned it 2 weeks after using it. It wasn't worth the cost by that point.

Definitely check used baby/kid's stores.
We still use our Graco swing daily with our 7 month old. He loves it, and it gives me a little break. He is 20 pounds and that swing is still going strong.

Expensive, but worth every penny to us, he loves it and it keeps him occupied. Of course every baby is different...
Definitely go for a plug-in swing if you do, these suckers eat up batteries. I love the music feature the most- I only use it for naps when desperate, but he instantly falls asleep when the music is playing. I am missing it this week while we are on vacation!

My LO is 4 months, 17lbs and around 27in long and we still use it every day. She LOVES it. Her feet hang off the end but it doesn't seem to bother her a bit.

We had and loved it too, but by about 4.5 months, it was reaching the end of its lifespan. By that point we wanted LO to be napping in his crib. He was starting to fuss in the swing anyway, though he was a big baby.

They say the swings go up to 25 pounds but everyone I know say its really just to 18-20 pounds.
If you really want one for the short term, yes they are a lifesaver. Maybe see if you could get one used or buy a new one and plan on selling

My LO didn't use that swing, but she used her swing until 8 months old!

The snugabunny plugs in, which is awesome. My LO isn't here yet but my nephew used an older version a few years ago and they loved it!
Also be careful, I've bought a ton of used items, but I've heard to be careful buying used swings because eventually the motor can go and then it doesn't work. Since the snugabunny is newer in comparison with older swings though, if that did happen, you could probably contact fisher price and get a new motor replaced free...I feel like I've heard they're good with that! (good customer service)

i have one and we really love it. the only drawback is the max weight is roughly 22?!, so if your little one is close to that you may want to invest in sth else.

we have it, we wouldnt have bought it but we got it as a gift. LO loves it and loves the mirror, she will talk to herself in the mirror for ever. but the only downside is it can get kinda hot in that swing, LO always sweats in there because of the fabric. I think its more ideal for a winter baby or you have to always have the air on

The daycare uses that swing and one other, but DD will only nap in the snugabunny swing. We don't have a swing at the house, but I wish we had one because she'll sleep 1-3 hours in there EVERY time.

@betsyboop: I would get it! We used ours for a good 4-5 months before LO lost interest and started loving her exersaucer.
We brought the swing out again a few weeks before she turned 1 and she's been loving it (again for the last 4 months!)
She climbs in and out of it and lounges.
It's like a floating papasan chair for her. She currently weighs 24 lbs and so far so good! (we don't swing her in it.. she just sits and kicks her feet, etc).

Thanks everyone for the advice! I found someone selling one in like new condition on craigslist so im going to pick it up tonight!
