How horrible is that? I'm really hoping it wasn't poisonous, but it's not looking very good.
I've got an activated charcoal poultice taped to my rear end. Sexy, right?
Ugh. What a great night to BD. *sigh*

Ouch! I got a nasty wolf spider bite on the bottom of my foot last summer, and I couldn't really walk normally for several weeks after that. I hope your spider bite heals quicker than that!

Oh no! I have no experience but I hope your bite is not too serious!

I'm so sorry! I'm also sorry to admit part of your post made me laugh, particularly the part about the "what a great night to BD." I really hope you feel better soon. Maybe the spider bite means it's a good time to try the Jho pregnancy position!

So this happened...
Me: "This spider bite hurts."
DH: "Hey, if you're pregnant, and we have a boy, maybe he'll be the next Spiderman! You know, from the venom?"
Me: "Why can't a girl have superpowers?"
DH: "Or Spiderwoman. That could work."
Me: "Go get me a banana."
DH: "Ok."

@MrsBlue: lol! that's what I like to hear - creative and optimistic thinking!
@Arden: I hope it heals quickly and that it doesn't itch. For me, because DH has put me on pelvic rest (pre-term labor at 22 weeks really freaked him out), I would totally use it as an excuse to put my naked self in front of him (to make sure there were no other bites *wink*) and hope for the best!

On @Jholler25's into thread someone told her they had gotten pregnant using the "Jho PP." When asked about it by someone else, this was her explanation:

Thanks for so many warm welcomes!
@twodoghouse: Basically the PP is just that my husband bent me over the side of the bed, as in we were both standing next to the bed and he bent me forward so that the top half of my body was laying chest-down on the bed...My lower half was still in "standing position"...It made my butt kind of point up in the air a little? Anyway, obviously he was behind me and on our 7 month of TTC, we got our first BFP. Unfortunately that was a CP. But he joked that it was the position that got me pregnant. We had pretty much stuck to finishing missionary for TTC reasons, as we read it had the best chances bc of gravity. So this was a new TTC finish position.
We tried it again the next month, and only finished that way during my fertile period. I got pregnant again. Unfortunately, another CP. We did the same routine for the next month, and I NEVER thought I would get pregnant a third month in a row when we had 7 months of NOTHING, but Yep. Pregnant again. This one has stuck - Thank Goodness! But my husband labeled it "the pregnancy position." I think maybe it's helpful because of the angle with your bottom already kind of angled up. When we're fertile, our cervix is very high, so I think the angle helps the swimmers get right to the cervix, because - not to be TMI- but it's super-deep penetration! So I guess it's "right there" next to the cervix even though the cervix is really high.
I told everyone about it as a funny/haha on the 6 mos and up thread on WB, and suddenly people that had been trying for ages started getting KU left and right!
MrsMeNow over there had a variation- due to height of her DH vs her or her bed height....She got on the bed, basically on her knees and elbows, so she still had the whole butt pointing toward the sky thing happening. Basically the same position as far as "angle" and penetration/position to cervix, it's just that you're on the bed instead of standing on the floor. I think some people's beds may be to high or their DH may be too tall, etc...So this worked for several other girls.
Soooo, hope that wasn't too perverted...We just had a job to do and found a more effective way to get it done!

@Arden: Btw, when I had my spider bite last summer we were also TTC. Unfortunately I didn't get pregnant that month, but we were definitely making the Spider Man jokes too!
