It's not that I loved Big - I preferred Aiden. But for Carrie, definitely Big.

I definitely dated an Aiden and married a Big, so I was always team Big since I can totally understand why Aiden just wouldn't cut it

I always thought Carrie was an asshole and so she was a better match for Big.
I'm team Steve all the way! (although I loved Aiden, too)
Edited to add: My husband has seen a good chunk of the SATC episodes, and we like analyzing them as groundbreaking for their time (women & sex, older women, etc.) He thinks that the writers actually intentionally made Carrie a selfish, narcissistic person in the way that many male leads of t.v. shows tend to be- to see if people would react similarly to a female in that role. Interesting theory- and its fun to watch the re-runs with that in mind.

@Silva: Interesting! Carrie was always my least favorite of the four, by far. I always wondered if they intentionally made her character kind of un-likeable.

@Silva: @highwire: The show was narrated by Carrie and told mostly from her point of view. I could relate to all of her insecurities, and sometimes her selfish side too. I felt it was very realistic. I like that they gave her a lot of unlikeable elements

I loved Aiden but agreed with others that he wasn't right for Carrie.
