I always wave "thank you" to people who let me in.

Yes. Hand wave as a thank you, and I give the finger when I have road rage (not proud of this!)

I wave thanks or give thumbs up. I also signal to other people if I am letting them get infront of me. I dont give any rude gestures. I used to but now I want to be good role model for LO so I dont.

I wave when people let me in and I get annoyed when I let people in and they don't wave.

Yes I wave thank you or to let someone in. Ususally when someone pisses me off I throw my hands up in a gesture meaning "what the heck are you doing?!?". I will also honk if I honestly think someone doesn't see me and is possibly going yo hit me. But I don't give the finger or yell with my windows down or anything. Despite my road rage I don't want to piss off the wrong person because people are crazy these days!

Instead of flipping people off when they get me really mad driving.....I always try and give them a thumbs up. It's a very sarcastic thumbs up, but I don't feel as bad if I would have flipped them off!

I also wave "thanks" and say it, I do get annoyed when others don't, I think that is rude. I like @MrsBrewer give a sarcastic thumbs up when I get mad.
I use to roll the window down and flip them the bird, now I'm afraid of getting shot or run into. I do yell at them still

I hand wave thanks, but more often, I'm having to communicate for other things. I try not to flip a bird, unless the person is a total and complete d-bag (not out of the ordinary). But I'll frequently throw my hands up when I'm behind somebody driving like a moron. Sometimes I do this thing that I'm sure they don't even notice -- people around here are AWFUL at using their signals, omg it drives me absolutely NUTS, and so I flick my signal left-right-left-right while screaming "USE YOUR SIGNAL ASSHOLE" and throwing up my hand lol. Um, I might have some road rage.

I signal "thank you" every time someone is considerate on the road. Once in awhile I'll throw my hands up if somebody almost hits me. Some people are so aggressive and rude though. Last week, a guy was clapping his hands at me (sarcastically) because I was waiting for a pedestrian to finish crossing the road before turning. If I would have gone when he was signaling, I would have hit the pedestrian.

hand wave as a thank you for sure, or smiles.
but if they make me angry I avoid them and don't make eye contact.

If you were the lady that nearly t-boned me this morning after failing to look right as she turned out of parking lot into a live lane you got my hands in the air, and when my hands weren't in the air they were on the horn with a long, long constant blow at them. I have no tolerance for that crap, you pull out into traffic, look both ways!! She was older, so didn't get my finger, but holy moly.
If you were the guy tailing me last night, I threw my brakes on pretty quickly and slowed right down, right onto speed limit and got a friendly wave.
Hands in the air, thumbs up, clapping, the finger, all come out when needed.
However thank-you waves are a biggie for me as well, I am never usually in a hurry, just like clean, conscious driving!

I wave thanks to people that let me in, or wave people over if I'm letting them in/cross over, the bird and both hands up in the air in WTF form if they were extremely rude, i flash my highbeams to notify people of a cop up ahead,

I think the thank you wave is a cornerstone of driving society. If I let you in, I expect a thank you wave, and I will certainly give one.

I give the "thanks hand" to people who let me merge, wave people over, give people the WTH hand shaking and also have been known to give myself the "duh" forehead slap if i'm the idiot. And I yell. More than I should.

I "thank you" wave a lot, on a few rare occasions I'll give someone the finger. More often than not, I just yell at people from my car...luckily they can't hear me as I'm rather creative with the names I come up with...
