Bummer! I'd be mortified too. Try not to stress. I wouldn't call or anything. It's just one of those things.

My friend (I swear it wasn't me!) went to eat dinner and forgot her wallet! The restaurant let her go home and pay over the phone though!

To make you feel better you can def go back! If they tell you to forget it, then maybe just buy someone their food there like pay it forward thing!

I'm sure it was quickly forgotten! I completely understand being embarrassed but would try & forget about it!

Last week I was checking out at Target buying tons of baby stuff and my card (the one we solely use) was repeatedly declined. I frantically tried other cards that were also declined (expired) til I finally found a debit card that worked. People in line we're giving me the sideways "mmmm hmmmm" look. So embarrassing. Turns out my card had been cancelled by the card company b/c of Targets hacking fiasco and we didn't know it. Our new cards were in a stack of unopened mail. Not cool.

Aw, this kind of thing would get to me, too--but you did what you could! Don't be so hard on yourself.

I'm so sorry this happened! I hate when things like that happen to me, especially because I can feel the judgement rolling off everyone else in line.

If you weren't given the happy meal, I really wouldn't worry about it.

I would forget about it. There was probably someone 40 seconds behind you who ordered a happy meal they gave yours to, no harm no foul. Or worst case scenario one of the employees got to eat it! I loved when I worked in a restaurant and someone accidentally put in a wrong/extra order. employee dinner! haha.

I would not go back and explain. I would just let it go. If it makes you feel better I was buying nanny LO a new stroller and my card was denied. I asked the store people to set it up for me so that I could use it right away. They told me if they opened it then I couldn't return it. I knew this was the one so I wasn't worried. I gave them my debit card and it was denied. I was freaking out. I didn't have any other money on me. Apparently because I was living in two different states at the time my card was flagged as fraud! I ended up calling my boss and asking him to give them his CC number. I mean, he was going to pay me back anyway but I was so embarrassed.
