When did other people/your SO start to feel your baby move?
It's been about 2 weeks since I've felt baby move almost every day. My husband still can't feel it, even if his hand is exactly over where the kick happens--I keep thinking he feels it because the baby seems to know where he is and kick him on purpose.

DH started feeling kicks around 17-18 weeks? Can't remember exactly. My mom felt LO kick at around 19 weeks when I was in CA visiting for Thanksgiving!

Hubs didn't feel baby move until about 4-5 weeks I started. He only felt it because we pressed a flashlight on my belly (fetus' eyesight is sensitive to light at this point) and LO totally jerked! The look on hubs' face was priceless.

My husband started feeling the baby kick at the end of week 20. But at first when he put his hand on my belly the baby would stop kicking. but is very exciting when he feels it too!

I'm 27 weeks and hubby still hasn't caught one! I've only felt LO from the outside 2x, and DH isn't patient AT ALL when waiting to feel a kick.

I started feeling kicks around 19 weeks. DH could feel the kicks from the outside about a week or two later, but he had to have his hand in just the right place on my belly during a particularly strong kick. Now at 26 weeks it's easy for him to feel kicks, and you can also see them from the outside too.

My husband was able to feel the baby move last week (15 weeks) when I did the flashlight to the belly trick, he was so excited!

@cyndistar3: WOW! So early! My hubby just felt the baby move, so 3 weeks after I felt baby consistently, and 6 weeks after I felt baby the first time.

@pastemoo: I know! We got a super active one in there lol. When I first felt movements at about 12 weeks they were already pretty consistent, at least twice a day when I first woke up and when I was laying in bed plus maybe a few movements during the day.

Well, I am 22 weeks now, and while I have felt the odd one from the outside, DH still hasn't been able to. I feel bad that he hasn't, but he isn't upset about it, he also won't let me "bug" the baby with pokes or flashlights to help it along (he only wants to be nice to the baby, not disturb it in its home!).

I started feeling the baby consistently around 17 weeks and DH felt her for the first time around 19 weeks. He didn't feel her again until late in my 20th week, but that's mostly because of his crazy work schedule. She seems to be awake the most while he's away at work.

My DH never felt her kick, she was only really active at night. It was disappointing.

I'm jealous of all of this movement. I'm 19 wsk +2 and due to my anterior placenta I haven't even felt much yet : (

So hubby felt baby at 20+ weeks, but only 2x. I feel baby every day, but it's all still a lot more gentle/subtle than I expected it to be. Hmm

How do they diagnose anterior placenta? When did you find out?

@pastemoo: At my anatomy scan they told me. They can only diagnose via ultrasound, I think. It's not a big deal, just a normal anatomical variation. The ultrasound tech (who was a doc) didn't make a big thing of it at all, I only really knew what it was from books I had read. My doc confirmed it just means that I will feel movement a little later because the placenta basically is a barrier between baby and your uterus wall in front.

the first time my husband felt the baby move was when I was at 23.5 weeks. I have an anterior placenta though, so I didn't feel the baby til a lot later myself

darn, i wish i wrote it down. not sure exactly when. but at 26 weeks, he feels them pretty regularly. we still can't find the heartbeat on a stethoscope though.

also, we were told not to put a flashlight up & try to get the baby to kick, for what it's worth. apparently if the baby is head down already, putting the flashlight up can make them twist away from it & disturb their positioning or something? so we tried that once, but not again after we were told that

@tequiero21: my sil is a dr & she saiys it's usually pretty tough to find a baby's heartbeat with a stethoscope b/c there's so much going on between your skin & the baby's heart. since you have twins, though, maybe it's different & when they get a little bigger you'll be able to?

I still haven't tried to get the heartbeat with a stethoscope (and I have a good littman cardiology sitting beside me in the side table). I just lost my motivation once I could feel lots of movement all of the time. I think I barely ever go more than about 30 minutes without movement.

@tequiero21: It is super faint and you almost have tohold your breath. We could only tell what it was because we know how fast it should be.
And whenever he kicks we get a weird swishy sound and lose the heartbeat.
@MsMini: Oh, that;s cool! I think ours is moving more too, but maybe not as much as yours.

From 22 weeks on, I have been able to feel the kicks really well from the outside (and DH has felt a few since then). But, it's still the rare occasion that DH feels a kick from the outside. It seems like every time DH puts his hand on my belly, LO gets shy! Also, DH is very impatient - he'll only leave his hand there for like 30 seconds whereas I rest my hands on my belly a lot (while on the couch).
Also, at 25 wks, I still can't hear the HB on the stethoscope (also a Littman).
