I felt that way when I went to the farmers market and they were doing the Big Latch On!

Postpartum hormones too some time to level off like weeks worth. Breastfeeding is hard even with a good nurser. Nobody tells you about it until you're going through it. I remember feeling sad and a bit of a failure when LO weaned before a year because of the strong emphasis on breastfeeding and breast is best.

Okay, that is pretty sweet! But, also, I felt the exact same way as you when I was in your shoes! I really, really, really wanted BFing to work, everyone in my family BF with seemingly no problems, etc., and I just couldn't ever make even close to enough and they had other eating problems as well. It really stung for a long time when people would make an assumption I was BFing or would comment on how much better it was or just take for granted that it's doable for everyone. Plus, I really struggled with the idea that formula was a good choice, and felt like I was destining my kids to a life of no intelligence, obesity, sickness., etc. Now, it doesn't bother me much. I have these thriving, growing, happy, healthy boys who absorb and learn just like other babies. I still really, really hope to make BFing work this time around, but I hope I'll be more gentle with myself than I was last time if we aren't successful.

Hang in there, mama! There are lots of unexpected things taht will sting, but as you see LO grow & develop into a thriving toddler it will get better!

@.twist.: Tell me about it. Between the shedding and the lack of general effort to put up their toys, I feel like they are the worst roommates ever. Don't get me wrong, I adore them, but sometimes it would help if they would just throw me a bone every once in awhile. (I'm on fire with these play on phrases)

postpartum hormones make pregnancy hormones look like a walk in the park! I can't really remember anything specific now, but I know I was a raging, sobbing, irrational person. It's totally okay.
