The past 2 nights, my LO has literally been up all night in discomfort, and she's probably passed gas 30+ times over the course of the night. Not normal and it's clearly bothering her. she tries and tries to go to sleep and then wakes up a few minutes later with more gas. It's horrible, for all of us!
She is BF as well as eating a lot of solids (3 fairly sizable and varied meals a day), but we haven't introduced anything new in a while. She poops daily, doesn't strain, and she generally is a very happy baby. but yesterday she had a low fever (99.5) and her teeth seemed to really bother her. not sure if that has anything to do with it, but her top gums are very swollen. then again, i could blame teething for months, right?
We've been giving her gas drops, but other than that i really don't know what to do! i'm already dairy free, and we were actually hoping to try dairy around 9 months, but haven't yet. I just don't know how to make her feel better so she (we) can get some sleep!
I know none of you can tell me what's wrong with my LO, but just wondering if anyone went through this around this time (she's 8.5 months)? i hesitate to jump to any major medical issues at the moment, as this really seems to be just some build up that's bothering her at night, and she's otherwise doing well.
