If you found $13,000 and couldn't return it, untraceable owner, what would you do with the money?
I'd pay off most all of our student loans and then go on a big shopping trip.

Redo our kitchen. We're looking at a complete gut job which will take about half that amount. My dad's a contractor which means free labor so the rest of the money would go towards our the principle on our mortgage.

My god, I'm so boring-- I'd spend a little bit on something nice, like a new dress or something, then I'd probably save the rest, maybe for new furniture when we move. But if I couldn't save it (you know if there were rules on this untraceable cash) I'd buy new bedroom furniture, ours is crap.
ETA Hopefully furniture wouldn't be that much, but I have never even priced it out!

Y'all make me feel so irresponsible! At least I'd pay our student loans first. We carry no cc debt, and rent, so saving would be good, but it would be nice to have some money to just spend on us.

Pay off debt or save it for a down payment on a home. Or use some of it to travel to Europe.

Hmm...toughie. It would be between re-siding our house/painting it OR paying off one of our cars and 2 credit cards. That would be perfect to find 13k laying around

Definitely pay off our car then put the rest toward DH's student loans. That would free up $300 month!! woo

I take it back-- we'd use some for bedroom furniture, but most on an amazing, top of the line trip to Alaska! That's better.
