I think I see the lights going up in the neighborhood in the first nice weekend after Thanksgiving. But I want to get the garlands and tree up as soon as possible this year! After last year's allergy debacle I'm using artificial everything so it's not like they're going to dry out.

Thanksgiving weekend. We get a real tree though, so we wait for that 'til the second week in Dec. I just want to get the most out of the season! I also do a lot of decorating so I want it to be up for long enough to be worth it. I have to admit that I've already listened to Christmas music in the car!

Mid December. We always get in some of our favourite tipple (Baileys for me, every time), put on some crimbo music and deck the halls.Love it!

I'm not allowed to till after thanksgiving or my husband might kill me! Then it's pretty much dependent on hitting a weekend day with no snow to put up outdoor lights.
It will be even more fun this year decoratIng with a LO at the new house. I can just hear the holiday music with the fire crackling in the fireplace!

Our tradition is to decorate our house on Black Friday, after we get home from shopping.
We get our Christmas tree the first Saturday in December!

I'm Jewish, so it just depends when Chanukah is. Sometimes it's early so we have to do decorations a little early.

I really love my MIL's tradition of cutting down the tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We've been doing that with her since we started dating! This year will be the 4th year
That's when all the other winter/christmas stuff goes up too.

The second DH lets me! I start sneaking holiday music at the beginning of November and I start putting up everything officially holiday the day after Thanksgiving or as soon as I get back from where ever we went.

It depends. I may decorate for christmas in October if I'm in a mood. I am hoping to decorate for fall tomorrow night. that way Hubby comes home to a spooky house. ; )

We usually do them the weekend before Thanksgiving/week of. I like to have them up right after Thanksgiving in order to get to enjoy them for a decent amount of time
