Awww. I'm sorry you're having a rough time! I bet more places will open up after the summer. Most people are busy enjoying themselves and will get back to business once the summer is coming to a close. I'm sure you'll find somewhere! Maybe these have fell through because something awesome is on the horizon! hugs!

@Coco Bee: Honestly... I want to hug you so much. Right now, I wish I loved money, but it's just killing us right now. Do you have family who live close by? Maybe you can temporarily crash there? (ya, i suggest it, but im not sure i'd do it! ) If ever you need to talk we can always exchange emails, or gchat!

@Coco Bee: awe I'm so sorry!!! This is what sucks about our stupid system. People like you who really could use the help can't get it because they make just over it!

Is there an option of renting a temp place until you find something more permanent?

@Coco Bee: where are you apt hunting? Have you tried looking at those boards at local supermarkets? How about smaller community newspapers? Facebook???
Is there a university near you? Maybe try their newspaper for housing near campus if there is?

@Coco Bee: sorry to hear! I'm sure you'll find something.. Are there any homes for rent in your area? Condos?

@Coco Bee: most newspapers have their classifieds online too if you don't subscribe or buy the paper regularly! Def check smaller neighborhood newspapers too bc their classified fees are cheaper so that might mean cheaper apartments??

That sinks Are there rental brokers in your area? Usually they charge a fee equivalent to one months rent which is steep.. but if it is the only way!

My other suggestion would be to try and seek out any local moms groups on Facebook or other websites and just put the word out - maybe someone will know someone who is moving out and you can squeak in before it is even listed.

@Coco Bee: I'm so sorry. I've lived in areas like it sounds like you live in before and understand the struggle. I know everyone else has thrown their ideas out there for you. I just wanted to let you know I hope you find something. Kind of a long shot but, have you considered putting an ad out requesting housing? Sometimes people don't want a gazillion folks contacting them about their apartment or home but look for people who are looking. On Craigslist you can could write up a nice snippet about your family and someone might bite!
