@Mrs. Train: One of our friends just had a single baby after twins and was telling us that when they went to their ultrasound, they were saying, "Please just be one, please just be one!" Then they were told it was just one baby, and they said they were suddenly a little disappointed and thought, "Oh, it's only one."

Maybe because I'm crazy, or because I'm already 17 weeks and 5 days into my third pregnancy, but I don't think I'm going to agree with this.... I hope. I spend my whole day being outnumbered by kids, I'm a SAHM to two children already. My soon to be middle child, is super easy going and happy, my oldest is very maternal (just yesterday we had a five month old over and she spent the whole time trying to give the baby toys to play with), I just don't see how the transition from 1 to 2 is going to be easier than 2 to 3. And, mine will be closer in age than hers are. I guess I can get back to everyone in January, after our third shows up!
