First of all, let me start off by saying that I am horrible about picking which category my posts go in unless it is obvious so I hope I am right...

Anyways, my daughter is 10 months and is getting pretty close to walking so I want to buy her some more shoes for when we go out of the house. I read online that she shouldn't wear hard soled shoes until she is at least two but I am getting myself confused on what is actually classified as hard soles. I went to Stride Rite yesterday and bought her two pairs that were under the "early walker" stage but they seemed pretty hard to me. The sales associate told me that those were the ones I needed though. I always thought that soft soles were the ones that I bought at Target, where the bottoms were basically a fabric so they were more like socks than shoes. (Does that make sense?) They also have those at Stride Rite but they were under the category of "pre walker". I could see how they might not be good for a beginner walker though because they don't have any grips on the bottom.

So, can anyone please shed some light on this topic for me? I really want to make sure I have her in the right shoes. I bought a Robeez pair and a Stride Rite pair.

Geez...sorry for such a long post!
