I was scratching my stomach today, and some winner at Walmart said, "I see that hand on your belly! Are you feeling the baby kicks already?!" Um, I'm not pregnant. My baby is in the cart in front of me. So that was pretty much exactly what this hormonal postpartum mama wanted to hear today.
This Pillsbury dough belly needs to go.

People are idiots. It doesn't matter if you are pregnant or not, they will always say dumb things.
I had someone tell me "Suck it in!" when trying to scoot past their cart that was blocking the aisle. Um, it's a baby. It's not going anywhere. Move your damn cart.

wow what an IDIOT that person is. don't worry - I promise the doughboy feeling goes away! even when I lost the PP weight I was like, why the heck is this thing still here? but around 4 months it was pretty much gone. Don't get me wrong - I'm not fit by any means - but I felt better about it. Don't let them get you down!

My DH's demented grandfather asked me no less than 5x when my baby was due when I saw him. Um, this infant I'm holding is mine.,. That's the reason I have a bump! I really didn't get offended but it made DH's dad (the grandfathers son) super uncomfortable!

@photojane: When my daughter had to be admitted to the NICU at 1 week I was committed to spending as much time in the hospital as possible. One night at 1am in the morning I was looking for the bathroom and I happened to make a wrong turn into the recovery ward. The nurse there made some comment about how pregnant women always have to use to the restroom and hopefully the stress of not finding the bathroom wouldn't put me into preterm labor.. Uhh.. thanks b*tch. Needless to say I was pissed.

Cut yourself some slack, 1. People are idiots! 2. You just had her. It takes some time for the uterus to shrink and dough belly to reduce. The night sweats were awful but helped so much in getting closer to normal. We aren't movie stars whose only job is to snap back to normal in 4 weeks or whenever the next awards show is.

That sucks. I'm always shocked by the idiots of the world.
After my c-section, our pharmacist refused to fill my pain med prescription because she thought I was preggo. I did get the drugs, but went home feeling extra crappy. It did deflate quickly after that, don't worry mama.
