Seriously, socks NEVER stay on LO...she will just be hanging out (not pulling at them) and they fall off. Someone really should invent some socks that stay on. Does anyone else have this problem?

My LO won't keep socks on, but its because she rubs her feet together, or pulls them off and waves them around laughing. She also liked to chew on them so they're usually wet!

For the infant stage I though the Faded Glory socks that had a fold down top stayed on really well. After the infant stage, I had great luck with the Hanes crew socks. Have you tried either of those brands?

Oh yes.
The only ones that have a prayer of staying on are Robeez. But he usually manages to get those off eventually, too.

Yes! The Baby Legs brand stays on the best, but just barely, and I'm always pulling it up.

Try ankle socks. These are the only kinds that stay on my baby's feet.
I bought some from a local korean store, but I would think something like this would work too.

Crew cut socks always slip off because there's nothing for the elastic to grip on to. But the elastic on ankle socks grips onto the top of the foot and around the heel, so they don't slip as much. The ones that I have are super elasticy around the foot so they never slip off.

I use Carter's 12-24 month socks and pull them up as knee socks (as LO is only 4 months, we've been using them since 2 months) and they never go anywhere....might be something to try?

We love Robeez socks. They are the only ones that don't slip off. They have an extra ring of elastic so they are essentially "kick proof".

@Beebug: I tried this too but...
LO's chubby thighs won't allow it. The socks get super tight if I ride them up and they make marks on LO's thighs. He needs to thin out a bit haha.

@pelikila: I don't think I have tried those ones yet...we got some hand me down socks from my sisters kids and I am not sure on the brands.
@banana: @Beebug: I will look into both of those!

My LO enjoys not wearing his socks. He wore a particularly slippery pair yesterday to daycare. He kicked his feet so much that they fell off by the time we got home. Thankfully, his carseat is in warm bunting, so we didn't lose that pair.

@TurtleDoves: thighs or calfs (calves?) lol ?
They leave marks on C too, but I figure a little mark beats cold feet?! Now I feel bad? hmm.

I have a set of Carter's socks that don't fall off (unless she pulls them off). The rest all fall off. http://www.carters.com/carters/6-Pack-Terry-Face-Socks/V_23605,default,pd.html?dwvar_V__23605_color=MultipleColorsinPack&cgid=carters-baby-baby-boy-accessories-socks&start=
Edit: I see they only have them in 0-3mo now. That's a bummer...

@winniebee: Where do you buy yours? They can be expensive but are totally worth it. I try to get mine on babysteals but they run out pretty quickly.

@KT326: diapers.com! free shipping over 49$ (I order diapers and formula there...)

@banana: I'll have to give the ankle socks a try.
@Beebug: I do this too. They become knee socks. They leave slight marks on my LO too. I never really thought much about the marks.

@winniebee: OMG...Robeez are the cutest shoes ever....they have socks, though? Where do you find those? Edit - nevermind...hosery...

@mrskc: Ankle socks are great. You just have to find ones that have a good, strong elastic and that are true "ankle" socks (not ones that go around the top of ankle but the ones that wrap around the lower ankle. Wish I could find a link because the carter's ones are sold out

We use knee socks anytime she's not going to be wearing shoes. She still manages to get them off, but it takes more effort.

oh man we have the opposite problem... i can't seem to find socks for babies that don't have that tight ankle elastic! the GAP is best so far, but a bit pricey for us. the ones from the children's place and old navy are always leaving red marks on his ankles...
sometimes i just put MY ankles socks on him. hahaha....
he's 9 months old

Sock ons! :

They work! LO wears them every day and his socks have never come off while wearing them.

another robeez socks fan here! ds has huge feet and he's a kicker! but these stay on 99% of the time

Have you tried Robeez? They're the best!! They have these elastic bands around the ankle area that helps them stay put!

I second what @Beebug said. It is the only way we keep socks on N. Although he is starting to pull off his socks....I am tempted to attach them together on a piece of string like my mom did with our mittens as kids...lol...
