Tell me something unusual about you!
I read insanely fast and am really good at word games like Boggle and Scrabble.

My favorite household chore is cleaning toilets because it's fast, easy, and you don't have to touch anything like a gross wet rag or sponge (because there's the wand thing).

@MaisyMay: i always did it for my mother when i was little too. (not voluntarily, but I didn't complain because it's better than vacuuming which is loud, labor intense, and takes forever.

I always have to sleep on the bed farthest from the door. If DH and I ever switch sides and I have to sleep closer to the door I have to sleep on my side facing the door.

@MaisyMay: Mine is definitely that I read obnoxiously fast as well! It used to get me in trouble at school because I'd be done with the reading assignment wayyy before everyone else!

@Bookworm: Yup. Or the standardized tests? I'd always get "go back and check your answers." "But I already did" and pull out a book for the next 30 minutes.

@Running Elley: I used to be that way, but recently I made Hubs switch bed sides with me. For some reason his was more comfortable than my side, to me. He thinks they are they same so we're keeping our arrangment for now.

@MaisyMay: Hahaha yep!! I love it now, because I work at a library and I can get a book out of the stacks faster than anyone, just because I can read the call#s quickly! And I bet I'll be grateful for it when I have a newborn, I'll be able to squeeze a chapter in more quickly lol!!

@Bookworm: I worked in a library throughout college. It made me so much better about pulling up research online.. Hubs just laughs at how quickly I read.

I have robot parts implanted in my body. Which reminds me.... I really need to recharge myself tomorrow.
Its a nerve stimulator in my neck to help with my migraines, I have a remote that controles the amount of stimulation.

I just had to put my hand down the garbage disposal to get a water bottle cap - and it scared me so incredibly bad. I'm home alone, but for some reason had the feeling the disposal would turn on.
Basically, I was afraid a ghost would turn it on. I found that thought to be pretty unusual. LOL. Sigh. Been a looong day.

@CATWOMAN: This also freaks me out! Our current apartment is the first one I"ve been in with a garbage disposal and I am pretty scared by it.

I have metal rods in my spine from a spinal fusion to correct scoliosis when I was 14. I get scared in lightning storms because of it!

I have double-jointed elbows. They freak DH out so I taunt him with them when I want to make him squirm I can also add up numbers very fast in my head (pretty much the only math thing that I am good at) and I am terrified of escalators.

@yoursilverlining: Oh my gosh, those are so cool! I love the partially frosted cake!
I always have to eat all my fries before I start my burger.

@prettylizy: I can do that with my fingers too!
@artbee: I went to a talk about those one time at Johns Hopkins. Really interesting stuff!
I have lingual tori. The pictures online are pretty gross, but mine aren't that bad. They are a pain when getting bitewing x-rays at the dentist though.

@mrs.earrings: I have double-jointed elbows too! It totally freaks ppl out!
I also have stars in my eyes and an extra (tiny) bone in my feet. The stars are calcified starbursts supposably formed when I was still a developing fetus. It was found by my opthomologist, he had got all excited because it normally affects vision and told everyone in the office. All the sudden I'm surrounded by ppl staring into my eye ... awkward!! The extra bone was found while getting an x-ray for a sprained ankle. The x-ray guy actually called me a freak! I also had weird teeth issues, but that's more traumatizing!
@yoursilverlining: do you have an Etsy shop? You're so talented!!!

I have an irrational fear of those large inflatable lawn ornaments. Snoopy and Winnie the Pooh shouldn't be that big lol

@yoursilverlining: So cute!
I always have to have the TV volume on at a multiple of 5. So either 10, 15, or 20. 15 is usually just right, but sometimes I have to put it on 20 and DH thinks it's way too loud but I hate it if it's on 17 or 18.

@nodakiddo: Ugh, teach me your toilet cleaning secrets. I always splash myself in the face when I'm cleaning toilets (HURL).
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
@nodakiddo: I'm sure you do. But I'm seriously curious, what products/tools are you using?
pear / 1664 posts
@highwire: just a cheap target toilet brush and that blue liquid you squirt from the bottle (has a curved neck to get under the rim). Occasionally will shake some comet around the rim if needed.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
@nodakiddo: Okay maybe I am toilet cleaning challenged because I pretty much use exactly that and always wind up spraying myself with gross dirty toilet water.
pomegranate / 3244 posts
@yoursilverlining: Those are so cute! What do you use them for (besides jewlery)?
@MaisyMay: @Bookworm: I am also an insanely fast reader. It was terrible when I was living abroad because I couldn't get my hands on new books fast enough. I'd get one that was long and I figured would last me at least a month, and wind up finishing it in 4-5 days.

if i'm sleeping in bed by myself i can't have my back towards the door and have to have a pillow against my back. don't know why, just always do. if DH is in bed with me, i can sleep with my back towards the door just fine. i think it's a mental thing like someone is going to snatch me if i can't see them lol i'm crazy! haha
oh and i don't think this is unusual, but the ladies at my work do...i LOVE going to the dentist! like if i could go for a cleaning once i a week i would! i've been going to the same dentist since i was 7(i'm 30 now) and he's great and i just LOVE getting my teeth cleaned...thankfully i have a cleaning coming up next month haha
