I hear ya!! Or I shove clutter into drawers and closets!

I have a room specifically for boxes and bags of stuff I don't want to look at anymore just to clear up space. I should get around to cleaning and organizing that room though since I plan on making it the nursery for my next LO...

@yin: That room IS the nursery right now. LO is due in just over two months so that's gonna end really soon.

Ha! When my place is messy it's usually because DH has left his sh*t everywhere. My solution is to dump it all in a laundry bin and put it on his side of the bed. And sometimes I throw his stuff away. Not a good wife.

@yin: @Foodnerd81: yeahhh that's what J's room was before he was born... took a couple months to clean it out
@oliviaoblivia: nah... it's because J leaves his sh*t everywhere hahaha!!! although I'll admit it's partly my fault to.

I will just throw everything somewhere. I have bins in all of our rooms that I can throw things in so they get picked up with little effort.

@oliviaoblivia: I did that once- he literally emptied it one item at a time as he needed the things and they all wound up on our counters again!
I have been tempted to get rid of tons of stuff too- our kitchen island is a catch all, I just want to sweep my arm across it and dump it into the trash some days.

Our house is an absolute disaster right now. Everything is moved into the wrong rooms because we're having lots of painting done. I'm definitely using this as an opportunity to purge!

@Cole: oh gosh my sentiments exactly. Our kitchen table is that for us. It's always full of papers and crap.

@Mrs. Pen: I go through the same thing sometimes.. "will I really miss this stack of papers?"
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
@Reese: haha! I do my best to sort through them weekly and file them away. The important ones (bills need to be paid) stay in the stack. But then I just leave them there!

I tend to do things like that - throw out the whole stack of papers - and then DH goes crazy. I wouldn't recommend it. Sorry you are having a bad day...

I totally feel that way a lot of the time. And sometimes I get tired of clutter, put it in a box and stick it in the garage!
pineapple / 12526 posts
Haha, i HAVE been doing that. Ive been hard-core getting rid of crap, preparing to move.

Sounds familiar! I go round throwing all the clutter into the laundry basket and put it where I can't see it until I've calmed down enough to sort though and put things in their rightful place!

We have a whole dining room that's filled with junk and boxes. I wish that was our only storage area. Sigh.

I feel that way a LOT. So I've actually been getting rid of most of it and just keeping the essentials. Once I started getting rid of things I feel like I can't stop. Lots of trips to the donation center!

I felt that way recently . . . I actually cleaned out my SHOE closet. 'Nuff said!

@Mrs. Pen: our kitchen table is like that and we just moved two months ago. It drives me nuts. DH just doesn't get the concept of putting your stuff away.
