I am so sorry for anyone that I have offended with my previous post. I posted it in the wrong category and honestly was not meaning to be insensitve or malicious. I am removing myself from Hellobee, as I feel terrible and do not wish to offend anyone further.

I don't think you need to remove yourself from the entire website. Just be a little more cautious and sensitive on how you approach some subjects.

Oh dear. No reason to flounce over this! Fair question in the wrong board. Hard to understand the "other side's" reactions if you haven't been there... and nobody expects you to. All you can do is learn from it!

You don't have to leave because of that! Aside from choosing the wrong board (sometimes tbh i forget people actually visit particular boards since j just click off the main page, so I too chose a "topic" rather than a board...) there wasn't really anything wrong with the content of the post IMO...
The title would have been better in italics than caps but that's not an option and I think most people got the intent... And you apologized.
And fwiw, your original topic of conversation was relevant to lot of people, I think.

I can't say I understand how it feels to have infertility issues but I can understand maybe why that bothered them on that board. It was an honest mistake.

Don't leave. Everyone here is great, mature and understanding. Give yourself a break - sounds like you feel really bad and hopefully you understand the hurt feelings this caused others. Stick around... you are a great part of this community.

@googly-eyes: It is a valid topic and relevant to many people's lives; I just think some topics are tricky to discuss here because the readership is pretty diverse in many ways. It's not normal for a parenting site to include an active group of TTCers with no babies going through infertility, but here we are!
Which changes the dynamics just a bit.

@spaniellove: Totally agree! It's one of the great things about HB.. we really get an all around perspective on some topics b/c our community's diversity. Some of course touchier than others & this just happens to be one of them to tread lightly & with extra sensitivity.

We can do our best to be supportive and nice and helpful (oh wait, not helpful, I just learned that you shouldn't try to be helpful in some situations) but you can't tell people what to talk about (barring something totally inappropriate/offensive to the masses)
Please don't go. It was a simple mistake, and I think some of the reactions were a bit dramatically phrased. Yes, you accidentally hurt some feelings because you posted it in the wrong place, but I think someone who was offended could have been a little gentler about letting you know that. (Maybe by saying, "Hey, I think this might be in the wrong board, this is a sensitive topic," rather than "I'm going to go cry my eyes out now," "Thanks for ruining my day," etc.) You OBVIOUSLY weren't TRYING to be offensive. It's not fair that people can have harshly worded reactions just because it's a sensitive topic and people think that's ok, because as a whole community we are supposed to be respectful and word our responses more carefully.

@Pink Champagne: I didn't initially find the OP's other post offensive, but after reading it again I can easily see why some were very hurt by it (especially those who have struggled long with IF). I don't think it was just because she posted it to the Infertility board, either.
Also, I agree with some PPs, posting this secondary flouncing thread was very melodramatic.
Anyway, the OP has apologized and I think everyone here completely forgives her.

Your probably embarrassed, and I totally get that (even though you really shouldn't be) it's not a big deal, if everyone else who was offended (I was not) by it can move past I think you should to! I have serious foot in mouth syndrome so I've learned to just let the past be the past and learn from these awkward situations!
@HabesBabe: @yoursilverlining: @kiddosc: I don't really think telling her not to be dramatic is making her feel included or want to stay a part of the community, I understand your point, that she drew attention to something that would have otherwise died on its own, but a little sensitivity can go a long way.
