I'm working to get off of cow's milk, but I just don't like the taste of most milk alternatives. Someone swore by almond milk, so I'll give that a go.
Do you like any milk alternatives?

I wasn't a fan of any of them, but when I was trying alternative milks I found hemp to be the least watery. I didn't try coconut milk though.

I like soy and almond. We keep almond in the house and hemp for LO. I hate hemp milk. I think it tastes like dirt. I also dislike coconut because it's too much coconut flavor for me.

Almond is my fave! I started with the sweetened and then worked my way to unsweetened + vanilla. I still do cows milk with cereal because it just tastes "off" to me....but I don't do much cereal. But almond for regular drinking, smoothies, and coffee.

unsweetened almond milk is my favorite. but on a big regular milk kick now that I'm pregnant

DH had to get off milk for digestive reasons. He did not like unsweetened almond milk, but thought regular sweetened almond milk was TOO sweet. BUT recently he has been liking Silk Almond Milk Light. (They don't have artificial sweeteners, just less sugar). The vanilla flavor is sweeter at 60 calories per cup, and the plain light is less sweet at 40 calories per cup. Right now, he finds the plain light 40 calorie milk to be the best for cereal.

I'm unfortunately allergic to almonds, and all the other "milk alternatives" I've tried I haven't liked at all. I'll stick to skim cow's milk.

I like homemade vanilla almond milk, but am generally not a fan of any of the commercially available alternative milks...they all contain crap ingredients with far too little nutritional bang for your buck for my personal preference.

I drink unsweetened almond milk. I like the taste of coconut milk but it's almost impossible to find a brand without carrageenan, which I try to avoid. I stay away from most soy, so soy milk is out, and I've never tried hemp milk because, like coconut milk, I don't care for the additives I see listed and haven't found a brand without.

I've found the brand makes a big difference. My favorites are Almond Breeze unsweetened and chocolate, and for everyday use I love Silk with DHA. Prefect for cereal, tea, and coffee.

My husband and I drink unsweetened almond milk at home. I will have a soy latte every now and then.

I like Almond milk for drinking straight. Coconut milk (full fat in a can) is delicious in coffee.

I can't drink cows milk so I have to go with an alternative. I like soy but I try to avoid it for the estrogen content so I drink almond milk. I love chocolate almond milk with chia seeds for breakfast!

Almond milk is my favorite. I like coconut milk, but not in a 'milk' way, it's too different IMO. It's like turkey bacon... no, just no.

Almond milk is my favorite. Never tried hemp milk. Coconut milk (not the ones from the cans that are often used for cooking - I like that) is so disgusting that I bought it once, drank a little, and chucked the rest in the trash.

I like almond milk a lot. I buy the unsweetended vanilla to drink or for cereal and the totally unsweetened/unflavored for cooking. Coconut milk is too coconutty and hemp milk just has a really strong taste to me. Not bad, just....strong.

Hubs and I drink plain soy. D gets mostly cow's milk but one bottle of hemp milk per day. I give him the hemp for the additional Omega 3/6. I don't really like the taste of hemp, but he doesn't seem to mind it.

I like almond and coconut. I think coconut, or even half and half coconut and almond, has the closest texture to cow's milk.

DH likes almond milk. I don't even like cow's milk to begin with; I prefer soy milk, a little sweetened.

Almond. Coconut is too coconutty for me, I can only use it in smoothies.

Almond milk doesn't seem that nutritious store bought. I drink soy with 12 grams of protein (plain organic) or make my own hemp. I love walnut milk (you have to make it). Coconut also doesn't seem to have as many health benefits (when purchasing it) as a store bought milk.

Coconut is my favorite. When I had to get used to it for MSPI, I thought the vanilla flavored Silk brand was the most palatable. Now I only drink homemade though.

i like unsweetened almond milk for cereal and smoothies, but can't seem to give up half and half in my coffee.

They're all good, rice milk is okay too. I mostly stick to Almond milk though. Soy milk freaks me out with all the bad press on soy.

I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk for most things and coconut milk in smoothies. DH likes soy milk.

unsweetened vanilla almond and coconut! i don't even miss dairy anymore...

I don't love any of them, but hemp was my favorite and that's what Xander drinks.

I don't drink any of them "straight-up," or even in cereal or anything, but for smoothies I prefer coconut and almond.

Our house is set up like this:
My parents: 2% cows milk
DH: Almond Milk
N and I: Soy Milk
E: breast milk.

I loooooove almond milk. No issues with dairy but I just prefer almond milk! I use sweetened original. Mmm, this thread makes me want a bowl of cereal...

Almond milk is my choice. I drink it way more than regular milk, and often don't have regular milk in my house. Granted, I still like real milk. And it did take a while to get used to. I started by having regular almond milk (unsweetened, no flavoring) with a decently sweet cereal and found it did the trick. Now I can happily drink it with other things. Also, DARK CHOCOLATE ALMOND MILK, OHMAGAWD. /caps

I have never tried hemp milk, but out of the others I like almond milk the best. Almond Breeze makes a coconut and almond milk blend that is pretty good also.

I bought some almond milk vanilla flavored from Costco and really didn't like it. I like coconut milk for smoothies and soy milk to drink.

I really like almond milk and coconut milk. I've also tried an almond/coconut hybrid and it's awesome.
