I got a speeding ticket yesterday. The ticket states I was driving "at a speed in excess of 45 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. I have never seen such a ticket before. (I've had a few......) I want to fight it but I'm looking for a good way to do so. The officer never told me how fast I was going, just said that I was driving "well" over the speed limit and she cut me a break. What should I say when I go to court?

You could fight it by saying that the exact speed over was never specified. You would probably win since usually you are told what speed over you were going. Good luck!

By just showing up for your court date alone and questioning the charge, the local authority will most likely reduce or throw out the ticket. It's usually worth it to show your face and try to get them to work with you.

I don't know what the laws are in your state, but I fought a ticket once and won because the officer who wrote it didn't show up to the court.

What does it say on the ticket? It should say what speed you were travelling on the ticket itself.
