I don't think it's cheating but I think it's wildly inappropriate for a married man to attend strip clubs.

No, I don't think it's cheating. But, once I went to a bachelorette party while hubs went to a bachelor's party. I found out that the girls were to have pole dancing lessons in the strip club where the guys were going to be. I discovered that while I don't mind him being at a strip club in the abstract, the idea of seeing him in one kinda made me sick to my stomach.

I don't think it's cheating, but it definitely bothers me. I was having major anxiety about Hubs' bachelor party and them going to a strip club. Once I finally talked to him, he said he had no interest in going because he just doesn't feel like it's respectful of our relationship. That being said, he'd gone for other bachelor parties and it didn't bother me quite so much. Maybe it was the level of "committment" in our relationship had changed? I'm not sure. I just know that once that ring was on my finger, my feelings changed. Weird.

Not cheating, though I hear stories about it evolving into cheating with the wrong kind of guy at the wrong kind of strip club. But I trust my husband to never ever do that. If he went all the time, and that was the thing he and his buddies liked to do when they got together, I'd have a problem with it, but for a bachelor party, whatever. He is nice enough to tell me how gross the strippers are though (and I do not care if he is telling the truth
I have a bigger problem with the come to you at your house strippers, because, from what I hear... they are pretty much prostitutes in most cases.

I don't think it's cheating. My DH goes with his friends and I don't mind. He tells me when he goes and he doesn't hide it from me. He doesn't have any romantic feelings for the strippers.

I've been to both kinds of strip club. The male strip clubs are fun with a group of girls. It's entertainment. I've gone there for my friends' bachelorette parties. They aren't bad. They are somewhat similar to what was portrayed on 'Magic Mike.' Like I said on the the other thread, I don't consider porn to be cheating. So my view on cheating is a bit different.

I can't say that it doesn't BOTHER me at all when he goes to a strip club, but I definitely don't consider it cheating. DH and his friends ONLY go when it is related to a bachelor party. Otherwise it's not something they do on a regular Saturday night ("hey, let's go to the strip club!" nope).

Plus, I know all of his friends really well and they are all my friends as well (in fact, I've been friends with a number of them longer than he has, and one of them has been my BFF for 13 yrs!!). They are all relatively tame and won't let each other do anything too stupid.

It would definitely be cheating for our relationship because it's not something either of us have ever done. We've had this conversation multiple times in the past 8 years, and every time we both agree that going to a strip club would be crossing a line in our relationship.

I wouldn't say it's cheating but dh would never go to a strip club, like I said in your other thread- he wants to keep his mind, eyes and body only for me- that includes seeing any other women naked or stripping or the like.

It has NOTHING to do with not trusting my husband; I trust him a million and one percent, it has to do with keeping his eyes pure. Our faith definitely plays into our beliefs/feelings toward it as well.

I don't consider it cheating but I find it highly inappropriate for a married man to go - even for a bachelor party. It would also be problematic if he went in secret.

I voted yes again. I don't see the distinction between porn and strip clubs, and we will never be "enjoying" either.

I feel bad for those girls. They can't feel good about themselves.

But overall, no, they don't bother me. My husband has gone for other's bachelor parties and find them quite sad and disgusting.

I dont consider strip clubs or porn cheating. You're married, not dead. It's ok to see members of the opposite (or same) sex as attractive. I think acting or trying to behave like you will never find anyone else attractive ever agin once you get married has more potential for harm than either porn or cheating. I don't consider either a violation of intimacy, because viewing porn or seeing someone shimmy down a pole isn't an intimate act between the performer and the viewer.

@yoursilverlining: True, but finding somebody attractive out in the real world, and seeking out a place where you know you're going to be surrounded by people you find attractive ... is kinda different. I think a guy I work with is cute, but I don't want to watch him take his clothes off.

I don't think it's cheating, but I also don't think it's appropriate. For me, it's not about trust- I completely trust my husband not to cheat on me. The issue is that going to a strip club and oogling naked women is disrespectful to me and our marriage. My husband shares the same beliefs about it as me.

I've been twice in my life and wasn't comfortable either time. I don't like the idea of paying someone to do things.

I trust DH 100%, but I still consider it cheating. That said, DH has never been to one and won't.
