My LO is 4.5 months and seems ready for a jumperoo or exersaucer-type toy. Experienced mamas - did you get one or the other or both? Did you find that one was more useful or used than the other, or that one interested your LO more or longer? I'd rather not end up with too much baby gear in our place and am hoping to just get one or the other...

We got an exersaucer, which LO loved and loved. My friend had a jumparoo and LO never grasped the concept of jumping. But her exersaucer kept her busy and entertained.

We had the jumparoo. She'd stay in it for up to a half hour happy as could be. It was awesome.

We got the exersaucer. LO loved it for many many months. We put it away when she started walking, but brought it out a few months later and she wanted to sit in it and play with it again.

We have both, and I have to say that my LO doesn't seem to really prefer one over the other. The exersaucer is much harder to jump in, but that's the only big difference I see. My LO doesn't seem to remember that he can jump in the jumparoo, but he might when he's a little older. So, I have no advice to offer! hahahaha We could have either and he would be content.

We have both because someone gave us their jumperoo. If you have the space it's great to have both because you can keep them in different rooms and you'll always have a place to plunk baby while you go about your business. But if you don't want the baby gear footprint, I would suggest getting an exersaucer (much cheaper and smaller footprint) AND a doorway jumper-- those things are AWESOME. We have one of those too, and while Wagon Jr. didn't jump much in the jumperoo, he LOVED jumping in the doorway jumper!

we chose the jumperoo vs the exersaucer bc LO LOVES to jump, that's all he wants to do even in our arms. he will stay in that thing forever! however my mom does have an exersaucer and he likes that too bc there is so many different toys on it!

We have the exersaucer because it's smaller and our house is tiny. She loves it, and also had fun in her cousin's jumperoo. We had a doorway jumper too, which she loved.

We only had a jumperoo and DS loved it! He would stay in it for up to 30 minutes. It was a lifesaver when I needed to cook dinner and DH wasn't home from work yet. I would definitely recommend it!
If you think you could wait a little while before getting one, I bought ours on Black Friday for $50 at BRU. It was normally $120, I think.

We have the jumperoo, and LO loves it! She would jump for an hour straight if we let her.

We bought the jumperoo because i was worried about lo potentially being overwhelmed by all the toys and gadgets in the exersaucer. She loves her jumperoo, my husband and i keep talking about how it's one of the best purchases we've made to date!

LO used the exersaucer (borrowed from a friend when we visited family) when she was 4 months and it was great in keeping her entertained. At that age they dont have that much head control yet. It was only recently at the 6 month mark that she started having fun with the jumperoo...jumping like crazy!

I have both the baby einstein exersaucer and jumperoo. The exersaucer is borrowed, and I ended up buying the jumperoo secondhand later on. If I was only going to have one it would be hands down the jumperoo. They have similar toys, but the bouncing keeps Sawyer happier much much longer than just spinning in circles playing.

We have a jumperoo and a walker. L definitely prefers the jumperoo - she can jump for like 30 minutes if we let her. She's loved it since she was about 4.5 months old.

I was gifted an exersaucer, and bought a jumperoo used online. We have one upstairs and one downstairs. The Saucer was better at first because it was lower to the ground, now at 7 months, she jumps like a champ in that jumperoo

We have an exersaucer and LO LOVES it. That said, I've been looking for a used jumperoo because they look so fun. I just don't want to pay full price for one though... they're ridiculously expensive imo!
