The thread about, "what's the latest thing you've bought your LO" got me thinking. @Rock n Roll made a good point about wanting to teach her kids to appreciate clothes. DH had to buy his own clothes as a teen, he had to save his allowance to buy them. He was often gifted clothes as well. I never had to do that, although I never got to go clothes shopping often.
DD can save up for a bag if she wanted, but all her clothes will be provided for. But I'm not exactly sure if that's the right thing to do.
Will you buy your teens clothes or will you make them buy their own clothes? If they have to buy their own, when will you enforce it?
If my future daughter choose only a few brand name pieces, I will remain steadfast to our agreement and not give in, and hopefully she'll have learned her lesson by the next year
