I’ve always thought that if we end up just having 2 kids it would be great to have one of each gender but lately I’ve been thinking about it more and I’m not so sure. When we first found out we were having a boy I knew that we’d want a girl eventually but now I kind of would just like to have all boys! I think that the camaraderie would be so fun. I know that I’m a lot closer with my sister than I am with my brother and I really want our kids to be really close!

We really didn't care what we had, but when I got pregnant with #2, the thought of having a boy did scare me a bit! My daughter is so easy and so wonderful... I was worried I wouldn't know what to do with a boy! Turns out, boys are so wonderful and special in completely different way from girls, and I'm so happy we have both a boy and a girl!

I really want one of each, I want to experience parenting to each gender, however if we had two girls I wouldn't be upset, they can have that bond with each other that is unexplainable to anyone who doesn't have a sister!

I honestly couldn't care!! When I was pregnant with Cobi I was positive he was a girl, so I started wanting a girl. I was shocked when the tech said boy!! But I love having a little boy!! i totally wouldn't mind having 2-3 boys. But I would be thrilled if the next was a girl too!!
DH REALLY wants a girl next though - awww he is so cute 
I actually would love a daughter but if God gives me another boy I really will be SOOO thrilled. I love little boys

@Coco Bee: Haha thanks! I was convinced the baby was a girl (they even told us that they were 98% sure of it at our NT scan) and in complete shock when we found out he’s a boy!!! I’m completely thrilled about it now though and can’t wait to meet our little guy!

@jessiejo17: I totally agree on the sister bond! For ME, I think I would like one of each, because it would be fun to experience parenting both. But for them, I think I'd rather two of the same-- either gender-- because I feel that sisterly or brotherly bond is just so, so special. There is no one in the world who knows me like my sisters, not even my brother, so I would sort of like them to have that bond.
So, mostly I'm really glad I don't have a say in the matter anyway H really wants a boy though, and I just have a feeling that we will have 2 boys and be done.

We just found out we are having a boy & we already have DD...we couldn't be more overjoyed! We didn't care either way, I think 2 girls would have been cool, having a sister close in age would be so fun, but I love that we will have one of each

It didn't matter so much to us for the second. However, I grew up with sisters, so having another girl was a sweet gift.

I want a boy. Hubs is the only boy in his family and I'd like for there to be a boy to continue the family name on for at least 1 more generation.

I will stop at 2 if the next one is a girl. If the next one is a boy (I will be thrilled! But..) I will continue until we have a girl.
This will work out perfectly because DH wants lots of kids anyways....and I don't mind it. But I also don't mind totally being done if our next is a girl.

i want one of each but since having my son i would LOVE for him to have a little brother, something about two little boys together having that special bond. i would also love for him to have a little sister and would love to have a daughter, so i def still want one of each.

Absolutely. I would ideally have 2 boys and a girl...but as long as I get at least one of each I'm happy dh also said the other day ,"I'm so excited about this boy, but I also really want a girl!" so hopefully it'll work out that way!

i'm very happy with 2 girls. i initially wanted 2 girls and 1 boy in any order... but now we're thinking of stopping at 2 girls and i'm really happy with it. i sometimes wonder what it would be like to have and raise a boy, but i don't wonder so much that i want a 3rd child at this point in my life.
i'm really glad my girls have each other as sisters too. that bond is so special!

I couldn't care less! My parents had four girls before our little brother was born, so I have a clear understanding of how much each person is different, regardless of sex, and how special it is to have siblings at all.
