I had a bridal party of 8 and one of which I'm no longer friends with. Another one, I'm still friends with her but we butt heads on a lot of topics. There's another one that I try to email, fb and text her but she doesn't seem to respond back... which then makes me annoyed. There's really only one BM that I really consider a good friend. Well, 2 of them are family, so we'll always communicate.

As for the groomsmen, I still talk to my brother. The other gms were DH's friends and yeah, I still consider them my friend.

Most of the girls in my bridal party were family members, so yes! I still talk to all of them.

Yes-- my MOH was my college roommate, and she just had her first baby so we try to talk as much as we can... which is not much. My 3 bridesmaids were my childhood best friends, and the last of them is getting married in May and we're all in her wedding, so we do talk often. Also, one of them married Rob Sr.'s best friend and they live right down the street, so we try to see them as much as possible!

@kodybear: Yeah, if I would do it over... I would first wait closer to the wedding to pick them because our friendships changed by the time I got married.

Yes! All of my bridesmaids were my close childhood friends so we definitely keep in touch (we see each other on a monthly basis..sometimes longer unfortunately). I was very choosy with my bridesmaids and wanted to make sure I didn't choose someone who I wasn't SUPER close with.

Yes, but 2 of the 3 are family, but in contact with all of them. I love Facebook because it keeps us in better contact!

I had 5 bridesmaids-my sister, 3 childhood friends (2 of those were also my college roommates), and DH's cousin.

I don't talk to 2 of them anymore. One of them is just plain toxic and I've been so much happier now that I don't have to listen to her unwanted/unsolicited advice about personal matters (like when to have kids). The other is just doing her own thing, lives 3 hours away, and we just aren't that close anymore.

They were my nieces so I had better still be talking to them!

Yes, there's only one that I talk to a lot less often than I used to but we still talk.

It was only 6 months ago, but yup I do! They're my twin sisters it would be a sad day if I stopped talking to them! Especially considering one of them lives with me, lol!

I still see and talk to all three of them!

I had 7 in my wedding party, and I talk to all of them regularly. One our lives aren't in the same places, so we dont' hang out often, but we are always emailing each other throughout the week. And I knwo I could call her up and she would be there for me in a heartbeat. I was very careful when picking my wedding party, because I did not want to not recognize people in my pictures. I had my 2 sisters, 1 cousin, and 4 friends all of who I have known for at least 15 years.

Unfortunately no. I only had a MOH who was my best friend since high school (so, about 14 years). Basically right after my wedding she went MIA for a bit, then came back into my life, and then went kind of crazy (shaved her head, got divorced, stopped paying her mortgage and let her house get foreclosed on, switched her kids to a gluten-free diet even though neither have any gluten allergies, etc.) Then she just basically dropped off the face of the earth (or, at least, stopped talking to me). It hurt a lot because we were such close friends for so long, but I can’t force her to be my friend.

@yoursilverlining: I completely understand your loss...though I don't have reason to believe my ex-bff went crazy, she did disappear and her absence in my life was something that I had to mourn for a long time on my own. We'd been friends since 15 and were super close the few years before my wedding to the point of talking to each other almost every day. It's been over a year now and I think I've finally made peace with it. But I'll never forget and she always randomly crosses my mind.
