Do your parents like your SO more than your previous boyfriends/girlfriends?
I think my mom actually liked my ex more than my DH. My DH has some pretty strong political views that are very opposite to those of my mom. My dad however likes my DH way more than any of my previous boyfriends.

Oh yes! My dad LOVES DH! He tells me all the time how wonderful he thinks he is, and how good a husband he is, etc. I actually feel bad for my sisters when they get married, because I don't think their husbands will be anywhere near as popular with my dad as DH is!!

Yep, they do. My one ex they absolutely hated, because he was a total douche. Like...he was a terrible person. My other serious ex, the one before SO, they liked, he was a nice guy, but he was pretty quiet and introverted, so they said they never felt like they really knew him (and we dated for over 4 years.) They like SO a lot, he gets along great with my family!

My Mum liked everyone, my Dad hated everyone. Mostly. I know they both kinda liked one of my exes from when I was like 19-20 and were sad when we broke up. They do love DH a lot though and I'm 100% sure they like him best

YES! Although, I don't think it started off that way. My husband is very outspoken and he also carries a pocket knife at all times. My mom was NOT down with the pocket knife. It took a little warming up to him but out of the 2 men I've ever brought home, they love him so much.

absolutely! the first time my mom met dh, which was pretty early on in the relationship, she told me that she could tell just from one dinner conversation that we had more in common than i did with my ex, and my parents both have just grown to adore dh. my dad and dh email each other all the time now, it's really sweet

My parents have never really expressed any like or dislike for any one I dated. Actually, my mom was most worried about DH because he is a few years younger than me, but she got over that pretty quickly.

My dad Yes! He likes smart people with opinions.
My mom likes him compared better, but she doesn't really like him. They have a weird relationship. She takes her frustrations with me out on him.

After despising most of the men I ever dated (I had a thing for bad boys, what can I say?) my parents are finally smitten. They're in love with DH. My mom is borderline obsessed with him, and refers to him by his first and middle name, like he's her precious, 5 year old son.

DH was my first real boyfriend. My mom did NOT like him for awhile. She found out we had sex when I was 17 and she flipped. I'm pretty sure she called me a "teenage whore" (FWIW, DH is the only guy I've ever slept with). Then when we broke up in college, she def didn't like him because I was so upset and torn up about it. Eventually though, after we got engaged, she got over it all. She loves him now

Oh gosh yes!!! The guys that I dated before DH.... Were not quality men. DH is miles and miles beyond anyone who I ever brought home before and was instantly loved.
