Curious as to how many store- credit cards people have on average.
I have Kohls, Younkers, Old Navy/Gap, and AE. Love them for the coupons and discounts, esp. Kohls and Younkers, and I pay them off right away.
How many do you have and what are your favorites?

Zero. I do have a Target Red Card, but its linked to my debit account. If I use credit, I only use a Starwood Amex since I like to hoard points for hotels.
ETA: A lot of shops have loyalty or rewards cards you can sign up for to get the same kind of discounts without needing the actual credit card.

Loft, gap, and maurices
I only use loft and gap though for the points/rewards!
I used to have more when I was younger, but I closed them.

I have a few but most are in my desk drawer vs. in my wallet because they get so little use. My favorite is Nordstrom.

Target and Gap. DH has Macy's but we just got it for the registry discount and really should cancel it.

None. We closed them all after we used them for the deals. We had store credit cards for furniture.

We have a few credit cards between us from various stages in our lives, but only one store card, an REI card. I use the rewards to buy work shoes each year, I get my Dansko clogs for practically nothing.

Well, I counted my target red card which is debit, so I said two: target and Nordstrom (credit but wish it was debit!)

One for a department store. And since I absolutely hate having to keep track of another bill I write a check for the balance right away at the store. I rarely use it, only when I get a really good deal from using it.

Banana Republic, Gap, LOFT... All opened when I was a young, dumb college student! They are paid off and I rarely use them now.
I have thought about getting a Target debit card because I shop there so much, though!

Target, PB, Macy's, gap, Ann Taylor, Victoria's Secret, llbean, Amazon.
I only regularly use target, gap and Amazon. PB I use for big ticket items and same with llbean. Pay them all off every month, if used.
