Does it irritate you if everyone says you LO looks like DH's family? My SIL gets furious every time someone says my nephew has features like our side of the family. I don't see why she gets so irritated, but I am pregnant with our first. Is this normal?
I am pretty sure my LO will look just like DH's family since they have very dominant genes and mine are recessive. I think it will be cute for her to look like her daddy!

I don't think it would bother me but I think it bothers my sister-in-law every time I mention that my new nephew looks like my brother. She wants her son to look just like her!

It doesn't bother me at all but my MIL always has to mention how much my LO looks like her side of the family. She never once mentioned that he looks like my side. So maybe it bothers her? Not sure. But it's odd that she says my LO looks like her father when he looks NOTHING like him.

well, i wouldn't really care. but i just don't think my girl would look cute looking like hubby's side of the family. =( i'm basing this on the 3d u/ss we got. lol.

I don't mind it.. only because no one's ever said our LO looks like her dad/his family! haAhaha. LO looks like me and my mom.

EVERYONE says that LO is the splitting image of the hubs and he feels SO proud and happy. I'm don't care at all but I do wish someone would say she looks like me. My MIL is starting to think LO's smile is like mine so that's nice.

I think lots of people just want their baby to look like them. Some people say LO looks like me, others say she looks like Hubby. I know he loves when people say that she looks like him, so it makes me happy too. She's adorable no matter who she looks like!

I wouldnt mind if my lo comes out as the spitting image of my husband...
but I have to admit....
at 19 weeks I got a 4d ultrasound and MIL keps saying
"oh she has so and so's nose" "oh she has so and so's lips"
so and so's all being HER side of the fam.
It did bother me a little but I didnt show it nor say anything cus honestly at 19 weeks?! She barely had any fat on her! But I did think and feel "HELLO SHE IS MY BABY TOO!"
