I think the longest DH and I have been apart so far is 6 months. When him and both were deployed. Our times overlapped otherwise it would have been longer. Thankful it was not.
Next year we will be going about 16 months apart. He MAY get to come home for a week or two in that time we hope.

We dated long distance, so there were months where I didn't see him. The longest we dated LD - with visits - was 6 months. I couldn't imagine him being deployed!!

Maybe a week. But that's when we just started to date, I took a trip to NY without him. Since then, it's only been a couple of days here and there. He's had to stay in the hospital after surgery, went out of town for a wedding, etc.

Not long at all! Since we became BF and GF way back when, I think the longest we have been apart is when I go on 5 day/4 night business trips.

about 2 months--we were in a ldr for about a year while dh got an ma, but we managed to see each other about every 2 months or so during it

5 months....when we first moved to Asia, DH left first because he had to start working. He also set everything up, housing wise, so that when I finished up with work, I just had to get on a plane and not worry about anything.

DH & I were apart for 2 weeks while he was away at a business training & conference while I was pregnant. Usually his trips are only 4-5 days or a week, but that was a long one. Luckily, he doesn't have to travel too often (but several trips in the next few months-yuck!)

We were LD for the first 9 months of our relationship, so we probably went about 2 months without seeing each other several times then.
Since living together, about 2 weeks. This past Christmas was the first we spent together, so we were usually apart for about 2 weeks over the winter holidays in the past.

About 2 weeks. But we broke up in college for 8 months and didn't speak at all for 5 of those months. That doesn't really count though since we weren't together but it still sucked really bad!

ummm. Overnight! And that was really hard! We have slept apart about 3 times since we started dating, plus the night before we got married.

Rob Sr. and I were long distance for the first six months of our relationship. It was TORTURE. After we both graduated from college, in 2 weeks he was in Boston and hasn't left since. While we were dating we spent a few nights apart here and there for family holidays, etc. but it was extremely rare-- maybe 2 or 3 nights a year total. Then he went to Indianapolis for a week long business trip after we got married and that was TORTURE too. We just don't spend a lot of time apart... and that's the way we like it. Watching military homecomings after deployments makes me BAWL... I do NOT know how those families do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 months. The summer in between sophomore and junior year in college we were long distance so we had to wait 2 months to see each other because we couldn't afford any more than that.

We were in a LDR for about 9 months, and the longest gap during that time was about 5 and a half months. It was awful. I was in Arizona and he was in Washington, and it was just too expensive/inconvenient to see each other more often.

Pre marriage, we were separated by an ocean, so long periods of time.

5-6 months, pre-marriage. Like... 2-3 months post-marriage.
He's due for deployment this summer sometime, so it'll be 7-8 months then.

I think since we've been married the only time we've been apart for more than overnight was 5 days when he had an out of state conference to attend for work.
