Probably the Movado watch I got Rob Sr. for our 5th anniversary. He never got a watch for our wedding so I wanted him to have something really nice. It's sportier looking than the plain faced ones so it's really great for everyday wear. It was a bargain though... outlet purchase, yet again

Ugh. I bought my ex a flat screen tv + a MacBook back in 2005ish. I think the total cost was about 4k? -
@Rubies: She needed it. I'm pretty sure that her boobs were a big part of her eating disorder. She hasn't been under 100 lbs since the surgery--and she has the back strength to stand up straight.
Actually, she got me a ticket to visit her in Singapore about 5 years later, so... you know, it's all good.

I bought Hubs a laptop, but it was less than $400.

a watch...which DH (FI at the time) returned for a plane ticket...to meet my mom, to ask her for her 'blessing' for us to get married. Hop forward 3 years...he finally let me buy him his dream watch, which he kept.

I bought my hubs a trip to the Bahamas for his graduation/Christmas present this year. He was so excited it was worth it!

I got the hubs an M3. Technically we got it together, but we got it as his Valentine's Day/Birthday/Anniversary/Christmas present since we previously had made a deal to stick with the cars we were currently driving. Saved me from a year of shopping for him!

Wow, you guys are generous! I'm more of a crafty giver, I spend lots of time on gifts but not lots of money. Because I don't have any. I spent $200 on hubby's anniversary gift this year and that's a lot for me!
