I was able to wait until after birth and my milk was fully in but it sounds like that may not be an option for you. It may be worth going to a specialty store and asking their advice.

I love love LOVE the Bravado Stella & Emma styles at Target. I wore them through the end of my pregnancy and still wearing them for nursing now at 6 months PP. They come in S, M, L, XL, so that you don't have to constantly change cup sizes and are very supportive (like a sports bra fabric/build but with more give, same support).

I bought one bravado bra, one Medela bra and one bravado tank when I was pregnant. They were all general s/m/l sizing so I wasn't worried about them not fitting when I started nursing. After LO was born I've bought a few more bras/tanks and everything fits fine...I didn't notice much change from my 3rd tri chest to my BFing chest :).

I have been wearing Champion sports bras that have a narrow sholder strap and a breathable soft fabric. I'm only 22 weeks but have grown out of all my bras, these work for now and are great for the summer and are so much more comfortable! I do have one nursing bra, only beacuse back at 13 weeks, it was the only bra in the store that fit my large breasts (another reason I'm in sports bras now, nowhere to buy bras that fit!)

I bought a size higher than I was, and I bought them before giving birth. But I ended up not being able to nurse, so I'm glad I didn't buy too many.

I never did. I'm 6 weeks post partum and was originally planning to buy a nursing bra after birth but then I never got around it. I skip a bra when possible and I took the underwire out of one of my bras and I wear that if I really need a bra

II bought two nursing tanks at 38 weeks but didn't start wearing them until after baby was born.
my boobs are at least two sizes bigger now than they were at the end of my pregnancy.
