I'll start this off....
Cycle Day: 25
TTC Cycle #:17
Ovulation and POAS dates: I ovulated either 10/20 or 10/21
POAS: 10/4
Baby #:1
Your plan: My plan was to begin Clomid if AF arrives on Sunday but I'm leaving to California for work for the week so not sure its a good idea. Since it will be my first time taking it, I'm afraid of taking it while so far from my doctor. Maybe I'm just being too cautious. Not sure how I'll react so I'll push it another month. I've decided and defintely want to begin asap!
Halloween plans: Our good friend's birthday is always on Halloween so we all dress up and go bar crawling so I certainly have something to look forward to. It's also my 4 year wedding anniversary this Thursday so I'm looking forward to spending the day with DH.

I'll be a cheerleader this month. I started birth control this morning to prep for my IVF cycle starting on 10/20. I'm on cycle number 26, which is so depressing, but hopeful for our next steps.
We will be bringing our daughter trick or treating and she is already talking about it. It will also be my second days of stims!

@NorthStar: Lots of good luck to you as you begin this new journey to IVF.

AF came this morning, so on to October!
Cycle Day: 1
TTC Cycle #: 37. Womp womp. Coming up on my 3 year TTC anniversary...
Ovulation and POAS dates: POAS date will be 10/28.
Baby #: 1
Your plan: CD3 bloodwork this Friday. Clomid next cycle if all is OK w/ the bloodwork results.
Any Halloween Plans? Last year DH and I carved pumpkins w/ some friends about a week before Halloween and that was a blast (we haven't done that since we were kids!) We're planning on doing this again this year. Other than that, no solid plans on the actual Halloween day.

@doxielove: I'm so sorry about AF. I know it's not easy.
I'll be trying Clomid next cycle as well if AF arrives on Sunday. I wanted to start in October but I'll be away for work.
Pumpkin carving sounds so great right about now!

@doxielove: dang. Sorry
Not sure we are going full out this month so add me to cheerleader! If I decide to take clomid again this month (ovulated on my own in sept for first time in 8months!) I'll chime in.
We need some positives and graduates from this board so fingers crossed for all of you!

@LibbyLou: @LoveHope: Thanks, ladies.
@NorthStar: Good luck on your IVF cycle!!!!
@LoveHope: Are you nervous to take clomid next month...I know I am! It's really the first TTC intervention we'll be doing, so I'm very nervous/excited to see if it works.
I had my FSH/estradiol bloodwork this past Friday. Just waiting for the results - I believe I'll get them this week.

So AF showed up on saturday
@Doxielove: I am nervous! This will be my first TTC intervention as well. I wanted to start it this week but I'm leaving for a work trip Wednesday so im nervous about taking it while away.
I'm going to get some extensive thyroid testing done because even though my TSH levels are under control, I don't feel 100%.
persimmon / 1388 posts
Welp, my CD3 tests levels came back within the normal range. My doctor called in a script for clomid to my pharmacy. It's CD8 today, so I'll obviously have to wait until next cycle to take it days 5-9. Eeeeek!!
eta: @lovehope, I'm sorry to hear AF showed.
kiwi / 689 posts
@doxielove: My dr called in to the pharmacy as well for Clomid which I picked up before leaving for my work trip but I'm not sure if I should begin taking it while away. She told me to take it says 5-9. Are you going to be monitored while taking it? I'm afraid of not being monitored.
pear / 1770 posts
@LoveHope: Just wanted to say that I did two cycles of Clomid unmonitored and had no issues. It's a very safe drug. Don't take it if you're really uncomfortable, of course, but side effects are rare and usually minimal.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@LoveHope: I was instructed to take it days 5-9, also. No monitoring. I don't have a history of pcos or cysts, so my doctor feels I'm low risk for hyperstimulation. I trust her opinion, even though I've heard some negative opinions on unmonitored clomid.
Eta, I agree with @ms.line. Only take it this cycle if you're comfortable!
persimmon / 1388 posts
@LoveHope: Did you decide to take the clomid or wait til next cycle when you're in town?
I picked up my clomid script last night. $14 - not too shabby! I don't know why I was expecting it to be more $. Too bad I have to wait til next cycle to use it. Is it November yet??
kiwi / 689 posts
@doxielove: I decided to take it
I was going back and forth but I didn't want to wait. It cost me $19 so not too bad either. I'm starting with 50mg so maybe I won't feel too many side effects (hopefully).
I'm excited and I hope this is it for me.

@LoveHope: Great! I can't wait to see if clomid does the trick for you!

I just want to wish all of you ladies the best of luck! My first IVF/fresh transfer didn't work out so I'm on to a FET. But the soonest that can possibly be done is the end of November so I won't be POAS until December! But I'm cheering all of you on.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@agold: Thank you for the !! I'm sorry that your fresh transfer didn't work out. I always hear great things about FET success, though!! Good luck!!

@doxielove: So far I've only had nausea which lasted for like 2 hours but hopefully I'll get no more.

Hey ladies! Just checking in- I'm still in the waiting game of my first "real" cycle post d&c. It's weird not counting days or tracking anything, I have no idea when to expect AF to arrive. In consultation with my dr we won't get me back on clomid until we get some test results in, but we will be trying on our own in the interim.
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@doxielove: Thanks. I've also heard great things about FET so I'm hoping this will work for me.
@Crystal: I'm so sorry you are still feeling the effects of your d&c with this long cycle. I haven't dealt with a miscarriage, but I have dealt with IF related awkwardly long cycles. Ever since I started IF treatments, my cycles have been crazy. I've also stopped counting cycle days and what not. It is a weird feeling but after a few months I don't think of my life or weeks according to cycle days and it does feel better. Best of luck to you.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@LoveHope: Any more symptoms while taking the clomid?
@Crystal: I really hope your cycles return soon. Do you find it frustrating or kind of relieving to not keep track of your cycles?
ETA - it's quiet here this month!
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@agold: thanks! It's just odd at this point to have no idea what's going on, when usually I'm so in tune. How are you holding up?
@doxielove: a little of both. Nice to not have so much of my energy focused on it, but miss knowing what's going on. Overall, I think it's a good mental break for me. I agree, it's really quiet this month!
kiwi / 739 posts
@Crystal: @doxielove
Hi! I know it is quiet! I'm just cheerleading this month. I enjoyed the less obsessiveness of last month and not taking clomid so I skipped again this month. I still did opk and for the first time ever I had really strong pains the two days leading up to ovulation. No idea what that means. We hit -2dpo so maybe I actually ovulated a quality egg on my own. I have in my head there's no chance though.
Eta: hit send too quick! @lovehope how is the clomid? You're on a work trip right?
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Crystal: I know its frustrating to not know whats going on with your cycle. I really threw my hands up when I started the IVF. I really did eventually become relieved. My husband and I are just having sex for fun now, since I'm sort of really only relying on IVF to get me pregnant. Its better. But I still have post traumatic POAS syndrome every morning or afternoon when I go pee. Darn it. And really, I'm hanging in there. I had a wave of extreme sadness hit me while I was driving home last night and cried for like two hours. WTF? I'm hoping its just the estrogen shots and that I'm really not becoming bipolar or something because I did wake up as chipper as can be. How are you holding up?
kiwi / 689 posts
@doxielove: So far so good
I felt a bit of nausea the first two days and I'm feeling great. I have a lot of energy which is weird. Also feeling crampy but that's to be expected.
@crystal: I know it's frustrating to not know what your body is up to but I'm sure you'll be back to yourself in no time.
@agold: I think it's totally normal to get emotional every now and then. Your dealing with a lot and it's ok to break down once in awhile. Hugs
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@agold: God, I miss having sex for fun! That is one upside of us having to do IUIs. Being emotional sometimes is completely understandable, especially when you are dealing with hormones!
@LibbyLou: sounds like it was good for your mental health! Hopefully the extra relaxation will pay off.
@LoveHope: I hope clomid works! I am pretty zen about my body right now, but looking forward to getting back into the swing of things next month.
pear / 1881 posts
@LoveHope: Glad to hear that are not having too many side effects. I know that when I took it, the only thing I noticed is lots of pressure on my ovaries right when I was going to ovulate. Other than that, I lucked out and didn't get the symptoms that I hear other ladies to (emotional, hot flashes, etc.).
@Crystal: Tell me about it (having sex for fun!) We will be starting our IVF cycle next week. I've been sick for a few weeks, so we haven't had sex for at least 3. ugh - I wish DH would initiate but he 'feels bad' because I'm sick! Well, at this point, getting some would be nice
@LibbyLou: I'm hoping your relaxing cycle and taking it easy is what does the trick this month!
Good luck to all of you trying this month - we are rooting for you!!

Grrrrr I think I missed my surge again this month. I knew I should have tested multiple times per day! I usually O on CD16-17, but I'm thinking I may have on CD14. Here's CD13 opk, around 6pm. Not positive, but pretty dang dark! They've been progressively lighter since then.
kiwi / 739 posts
@doxielove: I missed my surge more often than not on those test! So frustrating! I had to switch to the expensive smiley face ones- but I have gotten pretty good at predicting and only use 3-4tests a month. A 2month kit ($60) has lasted me four months.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@LibbyLou: So frustrating! This is the 2nd month in a row! I'll have to check out the smiley face ones.
kiwi / 739 posts
@doxielove: i definitely would. It was hard to justify the price at the time but I feel like there's less guesswork. Worth it to have a better piece of mind that you are hitting the window.

Cycle Day: 5
TTC Cycle #: who knows? Coming up on 2.5 years.
Ovulation and POAS dates: TBD
Baby #: 1
Your plan: this is IUI#3 with femara/ovidrel. The first two cycles went beautifully except BFN. I am getting really stressed about next steps if this doesn't work- likely IVF.
Any Halloween Plans? Going to a party. We aren't big on Halloween. Our most interesting thing is we are renovating an old farmhouse and will hopefully move in before the end of the year. We are working on paint colors.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: that's so awesome! I can't believe how close you are to finishing!
@doxielove: definitely test multiple times per day! Otherwise I'd miss mine entirely (and even then I have to guess sometimes). How was your timing?
@LibbyLou: how are you holding up?
@NorthStar: it's sweet your DH is trying to be nice, but I totally get what you mean! When do you start the bc pills?
pear / 1881 posts
@Crystal: I know, right?! I'm on my third week of them and start Lupron injections tuesday. My meds came in the mail Thursday and my face was like this
persimmon / 1388 posts
@Crystal: Our timing was actually great. Just checked FF, and if I O'd on CD14, then we hit O-3, O-1, O! Although our timing is usually pretty good...so no optimism over here
Happy Monday, ladies!
